Deadline for signatures is Monday, August 27, 2007!
Wichita, KS — Efforts are underway to gather enough signatures of registered voters in Sedgwick County, Kansas, to convene a grand jury to further investigate late-term abortionist George R. Tiller for additional crimes he may have committed. The petition is now available online for those in Sedgwick County.
Tiller has been charged with committing 19 illegal abortions in 2003. Kansas law prohibits the commission of post-viability abortions without the concurring signature of a physician who was financially unaffiliated with him. Tiller is accused of using abortionist Ann Kristin Neuhaus for his second signature even though he had financial ties to her.
Because Tiller’s business relationship with Neuhaus extended into 2007, the grand jury will be asked to investigate abortions from 2003 to the present for possible additional charges. The petition also will ask that District Attorney Nola Foulston and Attorney General Paul Morrison, both avid abortion supporters, be excluded from participating in the grand jury because of their ties to Tiller.
The petition drive was initiated by Kansans for Life and is supported by Operation Rescue. The deadline for signatures is Monday, August 27, 2007.
