If you don’t want to have an abortion, then don’t have one. I certainly would not have an abortion, but the reason we live in this great country is FREEDOM. We all deserve the freedom to choose. It would be very interesting to see if your daughter,wife,mother,sister was faced with a pregnancy that resulted from a rape or that could end her life what you would do.
when my mother was pregnant with me. she went into abortion clinic to find how far she was with me. my mother did not knew this clinic did abortion and my mother did not knew what abortions really are? the abortion doc came in and my mother did not recieced any papers about my personnal growth or about any info about abortion and there processures. the doc try to keep my mom there, than he had to go next door to finish the abortion in the other room. my mom hear terrible sounds of screams and mooning sound. the doc was there for an hour long than 5min. so my mother waited longer. while my mom waited than the spirit of the lord came in an told my mom to leave now. the presant of the almighty lord came to seek my moyther in her crisises. my mom only wanted to know how far i am in thepregnancy, choose to find another places instead. when my mom got up and started to leave the abortion doc. came to stop her and push her back so she was not allow to leave just yet. then the abortion doc. wanted to take a sonnagrah of me when my mom immediately got up and the doc said where are you going. an he pushed hard on my mother stomach area,an i immedately moved in a irrable way guickly as fast as i could my heart was beating faster…
than my mom said to the doc no not to day.than the abortionist doc let her go. aweek past my mom went to the hospital instead there they asked her if she would like to have abortion. my mom repleyed and said what is abortion? the nurses said to my mom to alimitate unwanted problem. my mom said i will think about it and get back with you, but my mom never did because she ran into a women who was pro-life and told her and showen my mother what abortion really is. thank you pro-lifers i am here because someone reached a hand out to my mother who did not know about abortion and told her the truth and helped my mother thur her nine months of prengnancy and i am here today because of it and God. thank you…sara born today…
Maria’s arguments make no sense.
One crime (rape) does not justify another (murdering the baby). If the baby is a human life, the awful circumstances of its conception do not change the fact that an innocent, defenseless, loveable baby is alive in the womb of her mother.
And about the “FREEDOM” argument: When slavery was legal, would Maria say “If you’re against slavery, don’t own a slave? It’s every Master’s Right to Choose”?

In fact, the local abortion clinic director where I live just admitted to a big group of college students, where she was giving a little speech….that abortion is IN FACT “killing a fetus, ending a life, etcetc” but she believes it’s “a womens right”. She is a lesbian…should people who are anti-gay just call her not important and kill her off because she likes other women? NO! There is a reason why we stopped hurting and killing black people…because they are PEOPLE..Age,Race, etc etc is NOT a good EXCUSE for KILLING ANYONE!!!….and plus….hey…I thought the “fetus” was just a blob of tissue? Whether you believe that abortion is murder or a right, it’s silly to assume that anyone who disagrees with you is (as Ashley so eloquently put it) “retarded” or “dumb.”
This is what makes pro-life/pro-choice debates so complicated. It’s about time to figure it out: Disagreement does not equal stupidity.
By all means, express your opinions. But express YOUR opinions… don’t make unfounded, rash generalizations about millions of people who disagree with you.

Dearest, sweet child…you obviously have not read what I wrote. If a DIRECTOR of an abortion clinic states that abortion is KILLING A “FETUS”….but than you go on Planned Parenthood’s website and the “fetus” is now a “pregnancy tissue”…..

The pro-choice side has switched there stories to women so many times it makes me ill. The pro-life side, never has.

Ashley, I first of all would like to suggest that you attend some sort of university or college to better your education so you can somehow communicate your opinion (both with better grammar and vocabulary and with less emotion and more reason).
If many of you would be able to better reason your opinion, not fluff it with of emotion (and poor grammar), maybe some sort of national legislation would go your way.
If we did not protect the rights of women to decide on how they would like to deal with their bodies, then our government would not be able to protect rights that you have.
We have a responsibility as citizens to uphold community values, that’s true, and you are all doing that. But the Supreme Court has the responsibility to uphold the constitutional rights of its citizens — and unfortunately for you, it does not include “saving babies.”
For all of you shouting WOMENS RIGHTS andCHOICE …you chose to have sex and now you must give that child a right to live. Above all you were the one who screwed up and ran squaking to an abortionist to clean up your mess!!! Take on some responsibility.Women are being raped and killed in these clinics. I work to reduce the number of elective abortions in Texas. Elective abortion is a function of unintended pregnancy. This is a fact. So, if we can reduce the number of unintended pregnancies than we can reduce the number of elective abortions. This is a fact. Contraceptives are the only FDA approved method of preventing unintended pregnancy. I understand that the argument with this statement is that abstinence is the only thing 100% sure to prevent unintended pregnancy. But is the fight to reduce elective abortions or to reduce sexual relations? Think about this for a moment. Do you only have sex during the one week per month that you or your partner is fertile? To do so at any other time would be for recreation and not procreation. After menopause, will you and your partner cease having sex entirely? After menopause sex would only be for recreation.
If we want to reduce the number of elective abortions, we are going to have to provide our society with tools to prevent them, tools like age-appropriate comprehensive sexual education, family planning services and contraception. To do otherwise would be to invite disaster, and it’s here. We have the highest incidence of teenage pregnancy among all industrialized nations. Our American penchant for withholding information and basic healthcare services is spiting our youth.
I call no one retarded until after we’ve met. I don’t find that a convincing argument at all. It exhibits a lack of reasoning.
I want to remind people what life is. Life doesn’t just apply to what’s in a human’s stomach. It also applies to that which is alive already. If you can be on the front lines of a protest but are still contributing to a death toll, you will look like a hypocrite– and you will be one.
That’s why I would like you, if you are eating meat, to STOP. Personally, I am pro-life, but not just in the abortion stance. Anyone who eats meat is not “pro-life” as they claim to be. Their actions don’t match their chants. Because the meat question is fair game, and you may embarrass yourself at a very important time. And if you do, I will be shaking my head in disappointment, because you have screwed the whole cause over.

This makes me so sad inside. I am a mother of one beautiful daughter. However, I can no longer have anymore children due to a health scare. My husband and I would give just about anything to have another child. Our financial situation does not allow for us to adopt…the fees and such are just outrageous and we simply cannot afford it. However, there are sooo many people who could. To all of you who are thinking of abortion…PLEASE I BEG YOU…don’t do it. There is a loving family for your baby out there. There is no shame in loving that life growing in your belly no matter the situation and there is no shame in loving that baby enough to realize maybe you can’t provide for he or she but somebody else can. The best thing you can do for your baby is give it LIFE!! *big hugs* to all of you!!

I don’t know where you live, but I worked for a child welfare agency in New York. It is FREE to adopt a child out of foster care there. There is a required (free) homestudy, (free) background check, and (free) interviews, and they do check your financial situation to make sure you can afford one more child, but there are NO fees attached to the adoption itself.
The ‘catch’ is that most of the kids in the NYC foster care system are not white. But there is no shortage and there are no fees, and there are in fact many, many kids who are never adopted into permanent, loving homes because they are the “wrong” race.
There are a lot of unwanted kids without homes out there. Saying or implying that there will be someone out there willing and able to take care of all them of is just not true.
I would take the ‘adopt not abort’ message a lot more seriously if every pro-lifer who was able would go out and adopt a child from foster care.

If someone would have stood outside the clinic and shouted, “We love you, we can help you now” It might have made a difference.
Education is the key. Tell Men and Women about the horrible effects of abortion everywhere you can. OUR CHURCHES do not talk about this much. We need for every church in American to have advocates talking WITH LOVE AND MERCY about abortion.
Adoptions is an option, but it is neither quick nor cheap. My husband and I have been trying to adopt for almost 10 months now and we have no end in sight. We are trying for a non-drug-use baby and that’s our only restriction. If an ounce of effort would be put in to refining adoption laws, domestic adoption reform and erasing the stigma of “giving up a child” then we’d have some ground covered with ending abortion. Personally, one of my friends has adopted from Dr. Tiller’s clinic and I’m hopeful that networking with his clinic, local churches, physicians and family friends will find us a child. Please think about my email the next time you have an opportunity to talk to a birthparent who is making a choice about their baby’s future. Adoption is long, difficult and very much still a negative stigma in America. There are thousands of adoptive parents in waiting but it’s not a flip answer to throw out in the heat of anger at a protest.
