Chicago, Illinois – On August 8, 2023, at 1:40 p.m., a call was made to 911 from Access Health Center (AHC) in Downer’s Grove, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The emergency involved a 14-year old girl. The employee who made the phone call stated “We believe there was a perforation during surgery.”

The caller stated, “We just want [the] patient to be transferred for monitoring” (emphasis added). Of course, the dispatcher needed and requested more information about the girl’s condition once informed that internal organ(s) were possibly perforated. The perforation was more than likely through her uterus and possibly affected other organs.
This type of injury is life-threatening and has caused the deaths of many women as a result of botched abortions.
This AHC employee, however, claimed there was nothing specifically wrong with the girl as a result of the dangerous injury. The employee was either not informed of the complications by the so-called medical staff, or she may have been told to communicate nothing beyond her initial statement requesting “monitoring.”
By all appearances, the emergency medical professionals were forced to arrive at the scene with incomplete information.
AHC performs abortions well into the second semester – up to 16 weeks gestation. Previous 911 calls made from the facility have revealed a pattern of minimizing the degree of pain experienced and the overall severity of injuries sustained:

At least one woman has already died due to a botched abortion performed at this facility. Melissa Heim died on January 26, 2001, after a surgical abortion. She suffered from cardiac and respiratory failure, and the staff of the facility allegedly failed to perform appropriate and timely cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Emergency medical services resuscitated her upon their arrival, but she suffered severe brain damage and died four days later.
“This killing center has clearly shown it cares nothing about the women it claims to help,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The abortion cartel’s attempts to portray abortionists as healthcare providers has failed miserably. These contract killers in white coats do not respect or honor human lives at any stage of development or maturity.
“Operation Rescue will continue to shine the light on the darkness of their hearts and the truth about their callousness and murderous actions. Not only does this evidence destroy the arrant propaganda of the abortion cartel and its media slaves, but it warns the abortion vulnerable and equips us in our work closing these wretched killing centers for good.”
