Your voice is needed now! Comment period on the Protect Life Rule closes July 31.

Washington, DC – In March, President Donald Trump announced support for a rule change within the Department of Health and Human Services that would reallocate Title X Funding away from Planned Parenthood and toward health facilities that do not commit abortions or refer for them.
Since then, the change, known as the Protect Life Rule, has been in the public comment phase, which is required before the new rule can be implemented.
The public comment period closes July 31, 2018.
Those that have not already submitted their comments in support of the Protect Life Rule have just days to voice their support before the comment phase closes.
“We need as many pro-life supporters as possible to submit their comments in favor of the Protect Life Rule as soon as possible. This is one of the most important things you can do today,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “For decades, we have been calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood and they have refused the call. Thankfully, President Trump has stepped in and is doing all he can to deny federal tax dollars to Planned Parenthood and other organizations that sell abortions or refer for them.”
While the Protect Life Rule will strip Title X funds from abortion businesses, it will not remove their Medicaid funding. That is something that will take an act of Congress.
“The defunding of Planned Parenthood is a multi-step endeavor. First, we must engage in the process of commenting on the Protect Life Rule to ensure Title X funding is redirected to health centers that provide legitimate medical care,” said Newman. “Then, we must focus on electing pro-life Senators that will give us the votes we need to finally strip Planned Parenthood of every last dime of tax funding that currently props up their failing abortion businesses.”
