Legislators and State Officials Remain Silent – Say Her Name, Colorado!
By Sarah Neely
Fort Collins, CO – Planned Parenthood of Fort Collins, whose abortionists are already under investigation for the death of 18-year-old Lexi Arguello, recently injured two more women, one right after the other.
According to records obtained by Operation Rescue, a 25-year-old female required emergency transport on May 15 due to uncontrolled bleeding followed by chest pain. Vaginal bleeding can become life-threatening very quickly and, if the cause is something like a perforated uterus, possible bleeding into the abdomen can create pressure on the diaphragm and pain in the chest.
The radio dispatch felt it necessary to also mention the woman had been given fentanyl after her procedure. Since this was administered post-procedure, it seems more likely it was given for severe pain rather than some level of sedation.
The very next day, on May 16, a 19-year-old female also required transport after she experienced an allergic reaction to fentanyl during her procedure. Though the 911 records are heavily redacted – as are all 911 records from this area – the radio dispatch Operation Rescue obtained clearly states this is a “Delta medical” emergency. A “Delta” response code indicates a serious “life-threatening” situation. It is one level below an “imminent death” or “Echo” code. This woman was obviously in sincere danger.
Operation Rescue has reported numerous times on the tragic death of Lexi Arguello who developed serious complications during a 22-week abortion at this same Planned Parenthood. Public testimony revealed Planned Parenthood likely waited “too late” to call 911.
Since Lexi’s death, seven more women have been injured at this facility, including these two May emergencies. Colorado does not require any abortion clinics to undergo inspection or adhere to state regulations – unlike every other ambulatory center in the state. In fact, just days after Lexi’s death, legislators killed a bill in committee that would have required abortion clinics to be held to the same standard as all other ambulatory centers.
“Despite steady reports of women being taken away in ambulances from these completely unregulated abortion clinics, state legislators and officials continue choosing to protect the abortion industry over its own citizens,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Women are literally left to enter these clinics at their own risk, even when an 18-year-old girl is dead, her life cut short by perilous practices at Planned Parenthood.”
A neighboring Planned Parenthood in Denver has also seen an increase in abortion injuries – four reports so far – which brings the number of known injuries in the abortion destination to 12 since the start of 2025.

Newman adds, “While it’s true that several of Planned Parenthood’s abortionists are under investigation by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies for the death of Lexi, that is only related to the medical licensing of an individual. There is no other state proceeding that a Colorado citizen can utilize to hold a clinic and its staff accountable, even when that citizen is injured by the clinic. Imagine if your grandmother was abused at a nursing facility, and the very department created to protect your loved one simply said, ‘Sorry, not our problem. They get a free pass.’”
Operation Rescue is continuing investigations into every one of these reported emergencies, as well as the death of Lexi Arguello.
“Lexi, and her 22-week baby will not be forgotten. While Colorado officials and Planned Parenthood try to sweep both of their lives under some rug,” says Newman, “Operation Rescue will continue to seek justice, bring the truth to light, and pursue every legal avenue to hold Planned Parenthood accountable.”
