‘No lie can live forever. We all reap what we sow.’

Houston, TX — Scattered among three different affiliates, Planned Parenthood currently operates 30 brick-and-mortar clinics in the state of Texas – none of which have been able to perform abortions since 2022, and none of which have been allowed Medicaid reimbursements since 2021.
Despite Planned Parenthood’s constant outrage over being recently defunded at both the state and federal level – touting that it offers “other services” in order to downplay a grisly business model centered around killing prenatal children – last week’s news out of Texas proved what more and more Americans are coming to suspect: the only things keeping Planned Parenthood afloat are abortion and money from taxpayers.
In Texas, voters and legislators successfully took those things away. And now, just a few short years later, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast has announced the closure of what was once the largest abortion clinic in the Western hemisphere: Prevention Park in Houston, Texas.
The Prevention Park abortion clinic cost Planned Parenthood more than $16 million dollars and was heralded as a “beacon of progressive healthcare” when it opened in 2010. However, as with countless other Planned Parenthoods, it took no time at all to start seeing women loaded into ambulances, all suffering complications from botched abortions.
“Planned Parenthood put all this money into a new building back in 2010,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, “but it was the same back-alley abortion business, just with nicer paint. It continued to maim women, kill children, and, in 2015, we discovered another grisly component of this clinic’s ‘business model.’’’
Newman was also co-founder of the Center for Medical Progress, the undercover journalist group that exposed Planned Parenthood’s illegal sale of baby body parts.
In 2015, just five years after Prevention Park opened to conduct first and second-trimester abortions, CMP released bombshell undercover videos, one of which included footage taken inside Prevention Park with Melissa Farrell, then Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.
Farrell provided some of the most horrifying evidence proving Planned Parenthood’s involvement with the illegal harvest of aborted babies’ bodies. Without any reservation, she assured CMP investigators that Planned Parenthood’s abortionists would change abortion procedures to ensure a better chance of obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” – for an increased price, of course, that could be “baked into the contract.”
Newman states, “Planned Parenthood’s Prevention Park megacenter was selling babies’s bodies to the highest bidder, and changing already dangerous abortion procedures, likely without the patient’s knowledge or consent, to make sure they got the best price. Words cannot convey how disgusting and inhumane these people are. I thank God the truth has finally prevailed and that this killing center will be shuttered for good.”
Shortly after the release of the CMP videos, the Texas Attorney General submitted them as evidence in a case to remove Medicaid funding from the abortion giant. By 2021, the state’s legal efforts were successful and Planned Parenthood was stripped of Medicaid funding. By 2022, Roe was overturned and a near total ban on abortion – Planned Parenthood’s last big money-maker – went into effect across the state. Now Planned Parenthood is trying to restructure what is clearly a sinking ship.
Besides the closure of Prevention Park, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast admitted other failures as well. A second Houston clinic will also be shuttered, and the remaining four Texas clinics with PPGC will be handed over to the Planned Parenthood Greater Texas affiliate. PPGC will have just two clinics left in its region, both in abortion-free Louisiana. No statements have been made on whether these two will also be shuttered.
PPGC is also one of the affiliates that sued Newman and others after the CMP videos were released.
“Prevention Park was this region’s flagship clinic as well as PPGC’s administrative base,” Newman comments. “Essentially, one of the biggest affiliates that sued me and the rest of CMP for exposing its grisly ‘cash for baby parts’ scheme is going out of business. That’s a victory for the innocent preborn and, even knowing now all the legal battles I’d have to face after we released those videos, I’d do it all over again. This work is saving lives.”
“Of course,” he adds, “Planned Parenthood claims to be the victim here. But victims don’t cut whole babies into pieces and then sell them to the highest bidder. That’s something tyrants do. And while Planned Parenthood was shamelessly exploiting women and prenatal children in the state of Texas, good men and women were working to expose its treachery. Someone really ought to tell Planned Parenthood that no lie can live forever. We all reap what we sow.”
