Statement on the Passing of Robert Schindler, Father of Terri Schiavo

Operation Rescue extends its deepest sympathies to the Schindler family after the passing of patriarch Robert (Bob) Schindler. Operation Rescue’s president, Troy Newman, and other members of the Operation Rescue staff were honored to be a part of the historic fight against the forced killing of his daughter, Terri Schindler-Schiavo, in Pinellas Park, Florida, in 2005.
“We knew Bob to be a kind man with a big heart. May he rest in peace,” said Newman. “Bob’s legacy will continue through his family and the work of the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation.”
Operation Rescue encourages others to join them in making a contribution to the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation to help protect people with cognitive brain injuries.
