Wichita, KS — A group of pro-life leaders led by Operation Rescue will be at the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 535 N. Main in Wichita, KS, at 2 PM today to petition District Attorney Nola Foulston for a redress grievances related to the dismissal of criminal charges against late-term abortionist George R. Tiller. The group will ask that criminal charges against Tiller related to illegal late-term abortions be reinstated.
Operation Rescue has been informed by the Wichita Police that such an assembly could violate Kansas law.
“We cannot allow the threat of unlawful arrest to silence us from peacefully assembling with the purpose of petitioning the government for a redress of grievances,” said Rev. Pat Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, who is participating in Operation Rescue’s Cry For Justice event.
