ORW reveals Bed, Bath & Beyond, La Quinta Inns are “in bed with late-term abortionist George Tiller
Wichita, KS, April 16, 2004 — Operation Rescue West distributed leaflets and
picketed in front of Bed Bath & Beyond located at the Bradley Fair shopping complex in Wichita, Kansas, Thursday, April 15, to expose the link between the retail outlet’s president, Warren Eisenberg and late-term abortionist George Tiller.

ORW has received documentation that Eisenberg is a top donor to Tiller’s
radical left-wing political action committee ProKanDo. ProKanDo spends hundreds
of thousands of dollars opposing pro-life candidates and legislation in an attempt
to insure that Tiller’s mill can kill pre-born children at will without
impediment.

Rescuers stood on busy Rock Road holding placards bearing the words “Abortion
Collaborator” while the Truth Truck circled the area. Response to the
campaign was mostly positive. ORW director Troy Newman met with representatives
from Bed, Bath & Beyond who expressed concern about the connection between
their business and the infamous late-term child killer, George Tiller.

ORW encourages the public to contact Bed, Bath & Beyond and express their
disappointment that this business is associated with George Tiller.

Afterwards, ORW protested in front of the La Quinta Inn to expose their agreement
with Tiller’s abortion mill, Women’s Health Care Services (WHCS),
to provide discounted rates to women

who come from out-of-state for late-term abortions.

ORW has documentation that the majority of late-term abortions performed at
WHCS are done on HEALTHY, VIABLE babies.

These outreaches are in conjunction with Operation Rescue’s “Year
of the Rebuke” Campaign to expose clinic workers and businesses that associate
with Tiller and his abortion mill. ORW believes without the support of these
and other businesses, Tiller would not be able to operate.

“We must raise the public’s awareness of these accessories
to murder. Since nearly 70% of Wichitans describe themselves as pro-life, we
intend to encourage the public to bring pressure upon these businesses to sever
their ties to Tiller’s child-killing business. Public pressure and shame
have been powerful tools in the past to right social wrongs. We are sending
a message to all who would aid and abet the murder of innocent babies: What
you are doing is wrong and your sinful deeds will be exposed. It’s high
time for Wichita’s business community to cut all ties to ‘Tiller
the Killer’.” -Troy Newman, President, Operation Rescue West
