“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

These timeless words, penned in 1776, launched a revolution against tyranny and established a new nation on the bold idea that human rights come not from governments — but from God.

But 249 years later, not all Americans are free. One group — perhaps the most vulnerable of all — remains outside the protection of our laws, outside the promises of our Founding Fathers, and outside the celebration of the 4th of July.

I’m speaking, of course, about the unborn children of America.

Every day, their lives are snuffed out in facilities like Planned Parenthood, which masquerade as healthcare providers while dealing in death. Abortion is not healthcare. It is the intentional destruction of innocent human life — and it is deeply un-American.

We rightly celebrate the abolition of slavery and the progress made in women’s rights. But how can we cheer for freedom when tens of thousands of our fellow human beings are denied the most basic right — the right to to life — before they ever take their first breath?

The preborn baby has a beating heart, a distinct identity, and an eternal soul. Yet in America today, that baby can be dismembered, discarded, and dehumanized in the name of “choice.” This is not liberty. This is not justice. This is a national stain on our conscience.

Just as our Founders pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to secure freedom from British tyranny, we must dedicate ourselves to ending the tyranny of abortion. The fight for life is the civil rights battle of our age.

Until every child in the womb is protected in law and welcomed in life, America’s promise remains unfulfilled.

Let us declare today, this Fourth of July, that we will not stop. We will pray, speak, protest, and intervene until the last abortion clinic closes its doors — until the law reflects the truth: every human being, born and preborn, is created equal.

Until every baby is free, none of us are truly free.

Let freedom ring — not just from the mountain tops, but from every womb in America.
