New Poll Shows 60% of Voters are Ready to Defund Planned Parenthood

New polling from the Life Leadership Conference reveals that 60% of voters agreed with defunding Planned Parenthood once they were aware of the medical negligence, botched procedures, untrained staff, and financial mismanagement of funds currently running rampant in the imploding abortion giant.
Operation Rescue has been reporting on Planned Parenthood’s growing list of scandal and imminent collapse all year, including a deep-dive analysis of the New York Times exposé this latest survey cited for voters.
“The New York Times is typically a pro-abortion publication,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, “but even they cannot ignore the incompetence, abuse, and negligence going on in Planned Parenthoods all over the nation.”
- Planned Parenthood is also currently under investigation by the U.S. House of Representatives.
- Even their own employees have recently come forward in numerous states, including Nebraska, California, Missouri, New York, and many others.
- In just the last six months, Operation Rescue has investigated 16 injuries at 11 different Planned Parenthoods, one case being the tragic death of 18-year-old Lexi Arguello. Lexi died after a Colorado Planned Parenthood reportedly delayed emergency care for a complex, life-threatening complication during a second trimester abortion.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, states, “This is why our team puts all our time and resources into exposing what’s going on within the abortion cartel, including Planned Parenthood. We thoroughly investigate tragic patient deaths and unthinkable abortion injuries; we hold state officials accountable when they hide the truth and give abortion clinics a free pass; we launch relentless investigations into egregious wrongdoing reported to us by faithful pro-life advocates. We do all of this because the abortion industry thrives and survives on deception, secrecy, and cover ups.
“Exposing the real face of abortion is how we make sure real laws are enforced, real abortion mills are shut down, and real babies’ lives are saved. It’s also how we change minds.”
In addition to support for defunding Planned Parenthood, this new poll revealed that 70% of voters also support using public funds for pregnancy resource centers that “offer prenatal care, diapers, cribs and other services, but not abortion or gender-transition drugs.”
According to The Washington Times, the online survey polled 1,600 registered voters – 49% men and 51% women. Along political lines, 33% labeled themselves Republican, 33% Democrat, and 35% Independent.
“We’ve been saying it all year,” Newman adds, “Planned Parenthood has lost its shine. Americans are waking up to the fact that Planned Parenthood is a bloated, political machine masquerading as ‘healthcare’ in order to fill their greedy pockets with the blood money of dead babies, maimed mothers, and destroyed fathers. We work every day to expose that truth, and we are so thankful to see the fruits of that labor reflected in this new survey.”
