Delaware Suspends PA Abortionist’s License

OR urges medical boards everywhere: “Don’t Ignore the Red Flags”

Dover, DE – The Delaware Board of Medical Practice suspended the medical license of Pennsylvania abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell yesterday during an emergency hearing. Gosnell’s Pennsylvania license was suspended last week after authorities investigating an abortion death and drug violations discovered appalling conditions and a collection of aborted baby remains dating back 30 years.

Members of the Delaware Board based their decision to suspend Gosnell’s license on action taken against him in Pennsylvania.

Raymond L. Moore Sr., the president of the Board of Medical Practice, issued the following statement: “Based upon the severity of the violations alleged in the complaint, and based upon the suspension of Dr. Gosnell’s license in the state of Pennsylvania, we have concluded that the suspension of Dr. Gosnell’s license to practice medicine in Delaware is necessary to protect the public until we can fully hear the matter.”

Operation Rescue has confirmed that Gosnell is not licensed in any other state. Gosnell once held a license in New York, but in 1996, he was censured, reprimanded, and fined $1,000 there for allowing an unlicensed worker to treat patients. His license status in that state is currently listed as “not registered.”

“We commend the medical authorities in Pennsylvania and Delaware for taking emergency action to protect the public from this dangerous man, but it is tragic that two women had to die before action was taken to protect women, especially in light of his long history of abuses,” said Operation Rescue spokesperson Cheryl Sullenger.

“This case should be a wake-up call to medical oversight boards across the country. Don’t ignore the red flags when it comes to abortionists because doing so places the lives of women at risk.”

PA Abortionist Deceives In TV Interview

Gosnell also caught misrepresenting two staffers as Medical Doctors when they are not.

Philadelphia, PA – Abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell, whose license was suspended after authorities investigating a suspicious abortion death discovered filthy conditions and dozens of aborted babies at his Philadelphia abortion clinic, granted an interview with a local television station where he denied he ever had any complaints about his work.

“I haven’t seen a negative comment that a patient has been dissatisfied with the services that I have provided,” Gosnell said.

But a former patient had something else to say about that on camera.

“I really felt like he was just going to let me die,” said Dayna Haynes, a former patient of Gosnell’s who suffered an incomplete abortion and had to wait hours for proper medical care for her botched abortion.

The reporter then showed a stack of over 40 lawsuits filed against Gosnell.

“If you’re not making mistakes, you are not really attempting to do something,” Gosnell said.

“Sure that sounds great when you are talking about inventing a longer lasting light bulb, but when Gosnell makes a mistake, it can cost a woman her life. Just ask the family of Karnamaya Mongar, who died from one of Gosnell’s ‘mistakes’ in November, or the 42 women who have filed lawsuits against him for injuring them,” said Operation Rescue spokesperson Cheryl Sullenger.

“You simply cannot be sued over 40 times by former patients and say you have never heard a negative comment about patient dissatisfaction. If he is lying about this, what else is he lying about?”

Apparently plenty.

Authorities, while continuing their investigation of Gosnell for illegally prescribing pain killers and for possible illegal late term abortions, discovered that two “Externs” that Gosnell was passing off as Medical Doctors are not doctors at all. In fact neither Steven Massoff or G.A Arthur are licensed doctors, even though Gosnell has them listed as MDs on the clinic directory.
“A man that can look into a camera and lie to the people, and who is willing to stoop to the level of deceiving women about fact that his staff are not medical doctors is not fit for the practice of medicine,” said Sullenger.

And what about the collection of aborted baby remains that Gosnell had displayed in his clinic, some dating back 30 years? He wouldn’t comment on that.

“There is no defense for this kind of sick behavior,” said Sullenger. “Gosnell’s interview was an insult to the intelligence of the American people. He can tell tales all day, but he is only adding to his delusions if he thinks we are just going to buy his clap-trap in the face of so much evidence. A woman is dead. You can’t just shrug that off. More than ever, we are convinced that this man is not only a danger to the public, but belongs behind bars. Gosnell has not yet been charged with a crime, but the way things are going, that could come any day now.”

Abortionist Epstein Denies Involvement In Abortion Death

Jackson Heights, NY – New York abortionist Salomon Epstein has contact Operation Rescue to deny his involvement in the abortion death of Alexandra Nunez last month.

Epstein told Operation Rescue President Troy Newman in an e-mail to contact the “A-1 Clinic” and talk to the owner, a woman named Rose, to confirm the true identity of the abortionist involved in the death.

A call was made by Operation Rescue investigators and an unidentified receptionist refused to give any information, but did not deny it when questioned if Epstein worked at the clinic. “If you got an e-mail, you work it out with him,” she said.

“But he asked us to call you,” the investigator responded, at which time the receptionist hung up.

Operation Rescue investigator Tara Shaver says that she was told by a receptionist late last year that Salomon Epstein was involved with the clinic. Shaver later filed a complaint with the New York Medical Board against Epstein when news of the Nunez abortion death surfaced. Shaver was sent a letter confirming that an investigation was underway and has since spoken with investigators.

“Whether Epstein was involved in the death of Mrs. Nunez is a matter now for investigators to sort out. We have acted in good faith based on the best information we have been able to gather in order to protect women from further tragedy,” said Newman. “We have years of experience dealing with abortionists who are not entirely truthful. We will await the outcome of the investigation to hopefully get to the bottom of this.”
