Video tells of one woman who was hospitalized for four hours with vomiting, diarrhea, and swelling of the face and eyes.

Wichita, KS – Two pro-life volunteers participating in a round the clock prayer vigil were sickened last week, after being exposed to fumes from an oily substance that had been spilled across the driveway at George Tiller’s late-term abortion clinic, Women’s Health Care Services in Wichita.
One of the pro-lifers, Jennifer McCoy, was treated for four hours at a local hospital emergency room suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, and swelling of the face and eyes. Another woman, Brandi Lozier, was with McCoy praying outside the abortion clinic in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 2, 2008, as part of the 40 Days For Life event. She suffered similar symptoms, but was not hospitalized.
After numerous tests, doctors told McCoy that her symptoms were the result of exposure to a foreign substance, and were not related to any viral or bacterial infection.
Hazmat was called to the abortion clinic and treated the area with a kitty-litter type of substance in order to absorb the noxious oily spill.
After being released from the hospital, McCoy filed a complaint with the Wichita Police Department, but, a week and a half later, arrest and prosecution of the unknown perpetrator seems unlikely.
“We suspect that this chemical attack may have been in retribution for Jennifer’s help in documenting a botched abortion at Tiller’s clinic a few weeks ago,” said Operation Rescue spokesperson Cheryl Sullenger.
McCoy had interviewed Patient S. from her hospital bed after she nearly died from a botched abortion at Women’s Health Care Services. McCoy also helped Patient S. get additional medical treatment for her abortion complications after it became obvious that neither Tiller nor the hospital where she had been taken by Tiller did not properly treat her.
This was not the first of such attacks on pro-lifers who minister outside Tiller abortion mill. In September, 2007, Tiller’s security guard, John Rayburn, was photographed with a “stink bomb” that also sickened those on the scene. Prosecutors refused to file charges, and efforts to hold Tiller accountable in small claims court failed.
“We know whoever is responsible for endangering the health of these innocent women will only continue to be emboldened by a lack of prosecution,” said Sullenger. “The only way to stop these cowardly attacks on pro-lifers is to catch the perpetrators and put them in jail.”

OK, so there is a camera positioned just above the gate that runs 24-7. The perp would be on camera. If the camera was “malfunctioning” at the time, I’d say Tiller or his collegues were directly involved. If they have nothing to hide, let’s see the video.
Oily substance that causes vomiting and swelling of the face when inhaled for a period of time? Sounds like maybe syrup of epicac. Who could get ahold of that much syrup of epicac to spread across a driveway? Yep, you guessed it.
It is pretty obvious who would be behind this. Of course, our local DA would never prosecute any pro-abort if caught.
Tiller and his ilk have bought police and court protection. They seem immune to prosecution in this state it appears. We will see if the upcoming trial proves me wrong.
The front lines of this War is a dangerous place to be. I sincerely hope that these two ProLifers are recovering from this attack., and thank them for taking a stand for Life!
They will continue to be in my daily Rosary.
Peace,

Horrible but sadly not surprising… Sometimes I worry very much, because I think it is only a matter of time before the pro-abortion extremists kill a peaceful protestor. I’m not even sure such a crime would be prosecuted in some parts of the country. In Wichita, it would probably be passed over as self-defense. What a lousy month for the pro-life movement… and it’s not even half over yet
I’d make a complaint with the federal Justice Department and see if federal charges can be done.
No investigation/prosecution likely? So much for the Fourteenth Amendment; clearly, the unborn aren’t the only ones excluded from the US Constitution’s equal protection clause; now prayerful Americans are fair game for bullies, henchmen and heavies. Across the country, our police and prosecutors are sitting on their hands, obedient to local politians whose palms are greased by abortionists.
Such violations of our Constitutional guarantees are bound to increase under the coming Obama regime; Sebelius, Six and others on Tiller’s payroll have pretty much taken care of Kansas.
As a matter of fact, I just received a notice from the KS Dept. of Revenue claiming I owe even more. Hmmm; am I being “leaned” on? It occurred to me that something like this might happen shortly before issuing my first editorial cartoon about GA Stephen Six and his ties to Tiller.
I think OR should notify the Dept. of Homeland Security. A chemical attack violates the (so-called) Patriot Act! The “authorities” don’t care about attacks on pro-lifers, but they have a budget to get terrorists. Go get ‘em, tigers!
I agree, Justin. Also, I’m sure Hazmat doesn’t enjoy coming out there in their chemical suits just to soak up a little syrup of epicac.
OneNewsNow had a recent quote from Troy Newman. It read: “I think it’s going to be like a three-ring circus down there,” says the pro-life activist, “but that’s okay because abortion clinics are really a despicable place. The things that happen inside these abortion clinics need to be put on trial for the public to hear.”
Troy, I would encourage you to refer to these pits as “abortoriums,” or “abortion mills,” etc. Do not dignify them with the name “clinic.” It gives them a credibility they do not deserve. God bless you for your work!
Someone needed to GET A SAMPLE of the chemical and have it tested. Keep some clean test bottles/swabs from a local testing lab in your witnessing kit for future use. Obviously the police etc. aren’t doing that.
If you knew what the chemical was, you’d have quite a story.
