Medical records indicate late abortions not done in compliance with the law;
Operation Rescue calls for Morrison to drop out of the AG race

Wichita, KS — Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline told news talk show host Bill O’Reilly that the medical records that were produced by two Kansas abortion clinics all indicate that later-term abortions were done for reasons other than exceptions found in Kansas law.
K.S.A. 65-6703 states that there are only two exceptions to the Kansas ban on post-viability abortion. “(1) The abortion is necessary to preserve the life of the pregnant woman; or (2) a continuation of the pregnancy will cause a substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman.”
Kline indicated that none of the abortions in the 90 medical records currently under review by his office were done for the two exceptions listed in the statue.
O’Reilly indicated that he had an “inside source” that has given documentation to The O’Reilly Factor program proving many late abortions done by Tiller and another Kansas abortion mill were done for “depression,” in violation of Kansas law.
“Now we all know that the records show what Operation Rescue has said all along, that Tiller has been doing illegal abortions on viable babies that should have been protected by the law,” said Troy Newman, Operation Rescue President.
“Kline’s opponent, Paul Morrison promised to drop the investigations of Tiller, who has dumped thousands of dollars into a stealth campaign against Kline through third party organizations,” said Newman. “In light of tonight’s revelations, that would constitute a huge conflict of interest and ethics violations if Morrison were to be elected. Considering Morrison’s compromised position with abortionists under criminal investigation and facing certain indictment, the only right thing for Morrison to do is to withdraw from the race for Attorney General.”
“The Wichita Eagle and the Kansas City Star owe Attorney General Kline a huge apology for attacking him for simply trying to uphold the laws protecting viable babies and innocent young girls from sexual predators,” said Newman. “I don’t think I have ever seen Mr. O’Reilly more animated with righteous anger than he was when talking about the insanity of the warped perception held by the Kansas media and abortion cartel, which defend Tiller, illegal late abortions, and clinics that cover for child rapists.”
Much of the information about Tiller mentioned in the program is information that can be found on the Operation Rescue web site.
