Carhart Subpoenas Seek Records of Baby Parts Trafficking & Aborted Babies Born Alive

By Cheryl Sullenger

Washington, DC – The House Select Panel on Infant Lives announced yesterday that it has issued a total of nine subpoenas to notorious late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, Germantown Reproductive Health Services (GRHS), the Germantown, Maryland, abortion facility where he conducts abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy, and other agencies.

The subpoenas reveal that the Select Panel is focusing on obtaining records related to Carhart’s participation in the trafficking of aborted baby body parts and information related to babies who may have been born alive during attempted late-term abortions. There is also concern about the increased number of medical emergencies that have been reported at GRHS in recent months.

Subpoenas were also issued to the following entities:

• Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center
• Holy Cross Germantown Hospital
• Montgomery County Police Department
• Montgomery County Department of Fire and Rescue Services
• Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center
• Butler Medical Transport
• Maryland Board of Physicians

While the subpoenas do not seek patient medical records, they do seek information related to the emergency transport of GRHS patients since Carhart first began working there in 2010.

“We are encouraged that the Select Panel is investigating Carhart, his dangerous abortion practices, and his suspicious financial dealings that may prove he has been illegally trafficking in aborted baby body parts just like Planned Parenthood,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Since Carhart began supplying late-term abortions in Germantown, the Maryland Board of Physicians has turned a blind eye to numerous complaints related to a patient death, poor patient care standards, and other violations. It is my hope that the Select Panel can cut through the political bias that has shielded Carhart from prosecution and finally bring him to justice.”

Since 2012, Operation Rescue has documented 14 medical emergencies requiring ambulance transport at GRHS and Carhart’s hometown abortion facility in Bellevue, Nebraska. This includes the death of abortion patient Jennifer Morbelli resulting from complications to a 33-week abortion administered by Carhart in 2013.

Of great concern has been the recent spate of five abortions-related emergencies that took place between December 15, 2015, and April 4, 2016, which represents a dramatic increase in the frequency of patient injuries inflicted by Carhart.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, chairman of the Select Panel on Infant lives expressed a sense of urgency to the investigation of Carhart’s abortion business in her written statement released on May 11, 2016:

We have an obligation to protect the most vulnerable at all stages of life. This obligation was expressed in both the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act and the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. Reports regarding the Germantown clinic are deeply troubling, both for the sake of babies whose lives are ended so close to—and possibly even after—birth and for the sake of the women who have been rushed from that clinic to the hospital with increasing frequency. In order to properly address these concerns, we have issued subpoenas not only to Dr. Carhart and his clinic, but also to hospitals and first responders who may have information that will be instructive. Time is of the essence.

Abortion emergencies involving Carhart that have been documented by Operation Rescue include:

April 4, 2016, Germantown, MD: Hemorrhaging late-term abortion patient transported to emergency room. All other patients sent home. (Video, 911 recording, Scanner audio)
March 30, 2016, Germantown, MD: Private ambulance called for late-term abortion patient. (Video, 911 recording, Scanner audio)
March 20, 2016, Germantown, MD: Underaged woman transported to Shady Grove Hospital suffering “heart problems.” (Video, 911 recording, Scanner audio)
February 4, 2016, Bellevue, NE: Woman transported to hospital suffering from an incomplete abortion. (Video)
January 19, 2016, Germantown, MD: Late-term abortion patient bleeding seriously transported to hospital. (Video and 911 recording)
December 15, 2015, Germantown, MD: Abortion patient transported to emergency room while Carhart accompanies.
July 2, 2014, Germantown, MD: African-American abortion patient transported to hospital.
April 26, 2014, Bellevue, NE: Patient, 37, suffered from abdominal pain after Carhart had an “issue with the procedure.” (Video with 911 recording)
March 4, 2014, Germantown, MD: Patient hemorrhaged after 2nd trimester abortion complications.
November 30, 2013, Bellevue, NE: Patient suffered 2nd trimester abortion complications.
November 26, 2013, Germantown, MD: Patient required emergency surgery. (Video with 911 recording)
July 9, 2013, Germantown, MD: Patient hemorrhaged. (Video with 911 recording)
February 7, 2013, Germantown, MD: Patient Jennifer Morbelli died of 3rd trimester abortion complications. (Autopsy Report)
March 31, 2012, Bellevue, NE: Patient heard moaning and screaming during 911 call (Video with 911 recording.)

Identity Revealed: Abortionist that Tried to Pimp Out His Girlfriend Subject of “Dear Abby” Letter

Dear Abby
[Full letter posted below]

By Cheryl Sullenger

Wichita, KS – A letter that appeared last Thursday in the nationally syndicated advice column “Dear Abby” caught my husband’s attention.

“Hey, you have to see this,” he said as I drank my morning coffee and scanned abortion-related news stories on my iPad. He began to read the letter.

Dear Abby: I am a widow in my early 50s. While I was dating a prominent OB-GYN, I found out that he’s involved in criminal activity – operating a so-called “pill mill.” On our last date, he asked me to join an escort service he was starting.

The story sounded so familiar. Suddenly, I realized I had spoken to this letter writer at least twice and knew the identity of Ob/Gyn she was referencing.

My husband continued reading the letter.

I notified the medical board of the state he’s practicing in and various government agencies. He’s doing abortions, which means he has access to vulnerable young women. Knowing this, I have lost trust in our medical establishment. Nothing seems to affect this man’s success and practice.

At Operation Rescue, we have to be careful about anonymous tips from out of the blue. We usually require documentation before we can make complaints or publish reports to make the situation known to the public. But this woman had little more than her horrific experience with this man who betrayed her trust in him.

She was obviously traumatized by her experiences with this abortionist. All she really wanted was for someone to believe her enough to look in on him and make sure he was not victimizing vulnerable young women or recruiting them into prostitution, as he and tried to recruit her.

So much of her story rang true as she related it to me. But with all the appropriate complaints already on file, there was little I could do for her.

Until now.

It is time for the public to know more about her allegations. I am releasing his name so that others might beware if they ever happen to encounter him.

The man she told me about was Joel Wayne Match.

A little research showed that he was indeed a Virginia abortionist with a history of recent medical board discipline. Public records validated at least part of her story.

His medical license was summarily suspended on May 1, 2012, by the Virginia Board of Medicine, which noted that “Match’s ability to practice constituted a substantial danger to public health and safety.” This was based upon information that showed Match had improperly prescribed narcotics to several women. [Read suspension notification]

In essence, Match was running a “pill mill,” just as our informant had said.

On October 17, 2012, Match was placed on a six-month term of suspension beginning on the day of his summary suspension and ending on November 1, 2012. He was then ordered to serve 6 months of probation, and allowed to resume practice with some limitations.

On May 1, 2013, a year to the day after Match’s license was initially suspended, the Virginia Medical Board terminated his probation and allowed him to practice freely.

But illegally prescribing drugs was only one of Match’s patient care issues.

Match was sued in 2009, after he negligently performed an abortion on Regina Tetteh a at the now-closed Nova Healthcare Center abortion clinic in Fairfax, VA.

Match had informed Tetteh that her pregnancy was in her uterus when in reality she suffered from an ectopic pregnancy. Match noted in Tetteh’s medical record that he had successfully completed the abortion of an 8 week pregnancy, even though a 12-week old fetus remained dangerously lodged in her fallopian tube.

Tettah began to experience increasingly worse pain and bleeding after the abortion. Instead of sending her to an emergency room, Nova rescheduled her for a second abortion several days later. Before she could make that appointment, Tettah collapsed in pain after her fallopian tube exploded, threatening her life. She unsuccessfully attempted to crawl to a phone to call for help. Her fiancé discovered her later on the floor of their home and called 911. Tetteh survived her ordeal but continued to experience pain and other issues for years.

In 1993, Match was sued after he conducted an abortion on another patient, Tina Lake, in April 1991. Lake suffered permanent physical injury during the abortion in which her uterus and an artery were lacerated. Severely bleeding, Lake was rushed to a hospital where emergency room doctors were forced to remove her uterus completely in order to save her life.

At trial, Lake won, but was denied a sanctions judgement by the trial judge. However, in 1997, the Supreme Court of Virginia ruled that the trial judge erred and the case was returned to the lower court, which awarded Lake an unknown sum of money.

Now, our informant appears to indicate that Match still may be involved in illegal activity. There is enough here, in my opinion, for the medical board, health department, or even law enforcement to at least look into his practices.

However, Match’s current employer or place of business remains a mystery.

His last known place of business was in Manassas, Virginia, according to his online Virginia medical license profile. However, on September 28, 2015, the only abortion facility in Manassas, the Amethyst Health Center for Women, closed its doors for good.

I tracked Match to the “DC metro area” and to a ghost company called “Primary Care for Women” in Reston, VA. Neither location had a working phone number.

A search of the Virginia Secretary of State’s business listings had two entries for Primary Care for Women, but both businesses’ status was listed as “Purged.” There was no listing on the District of Columbia Business License Verification search page for a business with that name.

Where Match is working now is anybody’s guess.

Also complicating efforts to investigate Match – or even complain about him — is Virginia’s change in administration just last year. Gov. Terry McAuliffe has taken aggressive measures to nullify many abortion oversight and safety laws. Under his rabidly pro-abortion administration, the Department of Health has been infused with those who can be counted on to look the other way when abortion abuses are reported.

Match is out there somewhere, presumably conducting his shoddy brand of abortions and perhaps, as our informant strongly believes, possibly even recruiting vulnerable young women into prostitution.

Meanwhile, one of his traumatized victims, who told me she still fears for her safety, continues to reach out to anyone possible — even with a desperate letter to “Dear Abby” — hoping someone, somewhere will listen.

911 Recordings Reveal New Details of Two More Abortion Complications at Preterm Where Lakisha Wilson Died

By Cheryl Sullenger

Cleveland, OH — Operation Rescue has received two 911 audio recordings related to two separate abortion-related medical emergencies that took place at Preterm Clinic in Cleveland on March 20 and April 24, 2015.

During both incidents, abortionist Lisa Perriera was on duty according to eyewitnesses who tell Operation Rescue she was seen at Preterm at the time of the emergencies.

Perriera is known for having conducted the second-trimester dismemberment abortion that led to the death of 22-year old Lakisha Wilson last year.

The March 20, 2015, recording indicated that a medical assistant employed by Preterm placed a call to 911 at 2:57 p.m. and asked for the transport of a 15-year old patient that was suffering issues with her heart following an abortion.

The teen was said to be tachycardic and suffering from atrial fibrillation, which means in layman’s terms that she had an abnormally accelerated and irregular heartbeat. The patient had no reported previous history of heart disease.

The Preterm caller told the 911 dispatcher that the patient’s last pulse rate was 123 beats per minute. The average 15-year old female should have a resting heartbeat between 70 – 100 beats per minute.

The Preterm caller told 911 that the patient was ambulatory and would be waiting for them on the first floor, even though abortions are only done on the third floor, which is accessible to a gurney via an elevator. The elevator repair truck was later spotted at the abortion facility. This has led to concerns that the patient, who was immediately post-abortive and required emergency care, may have been forced to walk down two flights of stairs to get help because a gurney had no access to the procedure rooms on the third floor.

gurney with woman

During the April 24, 2015, medical emergency, a Preterm employee requested that a 35-year old patient be transferred and monitored for heavy vaginal bleeding following an abortion, and indicated that the patient had been given Methergine, a drug used to control post-abortion hemorrhage.

The patient had the abortion procedure at 12:30 p.m., but 911 was not called until 2:09 p.m.

Pro-life activists on the scene during this emergency noted that the patient emerged from the clinic on a gurney, “wrapped like a mummy” in pink and purple blankets.

The caller told 911 that the patient had a history of Graves Disease, which is an auto-immune disease that affects the thyroid, but this condition likely had nothing to do with the patient’s hemorrhaging.

The patient was said to be available to emergency responders on the third floor of the abortion facility. This was troubling due to the fact that the frequently malfunctioning elevator has delayed emergency medical care to abortion patients on at least two occasions, and is too small to fit a gurney in a fully reclined position.

The malfunctioning elevator contributed to a delay in emergency responders reaching Lakisha Wilson on March 21, 2014, as she laid on the abortion table not breathing at all. The delay could have contributed to Wilson’s death.

In an earlier incident on March 31, 2012, emergency care was also delayed after additional assistance was requested to carry a 300-pound patient down two flights of stairs to an awaiting ambulance. That woman suffered from hemorrhaging after an abortion.

All of Preterm’s five surgical abortion rooms are located on the building’s third floor. (See Floor Plan) Because of this, the undependable elevator poses a potentially fatal health hazard to every woman who undergoes surgical abortion at Preterm.

Local pro-life activists tell Operation Rescue that the Schindler Elevator repair truck is frequently seen at Preterm — sometimes as often as twice a week — indicating that the frequent elevator malfunctions have not been resolved.

“It is irresponsible for the Ohio Department of Health to allow Preterm to continue operating under the current dangerous conditions, of which they are well aware. It is obvious that Preterm’s building is not suitable for surgical abortions and should be shut down immediately,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “In addition, the Ohio Medical Board must take a closer look at why, out of all the abortionists that are known to work at Preterm, that Perriera’s name is the one that keeps coming up when an abortion is botched.”

Preterm is currently used as a training facility for the San Francisco-based Ryan Residency Abortion Training Program. Medical residents from Case University Medical Center are trained by Perriera and others to do abortions.

In the wake of Lakisha Wilson’s death, Perriera was said to have been promoted to a position as the Ryan Residency Training Program Director at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but apparently has yet to begin her employment there.

“It’s not very comforting to think that new abortionists are being trained by someone that cannot keep her patients out of the hospital or out of the morgue,” said Newman.

Ironically, Perriera is to be honored by the Physicians for Reproductive Choice with the George Tiller, MD, Abortion Provider Award for 2015, which “recognizes a physician early in their career who provides abortions while demonstrating leadership and courage, even in the face of adversity.” She is set to receive the award at a ceremony to be held on New York City on June 1.

That “adversity” referred to by the Physicians for Reproductive Choice included repeated calls for disciplinary action and even criminal charges related to Wilson’s avoidable death by local and national pro-life groups, including Operation Rescue.

No mention of the adversity suffered by an ever-increasing number of her abortion patients.

Operation Rescue has published an exposé on horrific abortion abuses that currently exist at Ohio abortion clinics, including Preterm, based on recently-obtained secret Ohio Department of Health records. Read Operation’s Special Investigative Report.

Carnage: Abortionists Log 4 Botched Abortions in 4 States Last Weekend

ambulance 022015

By Cheryl Sullenger

Houston, TX — Operation Rescue has documented that four women were transported by ambulance from abortion facilities across the U.S. over the weekend of February 6-7, 2015. Half of the facilities where medical emergencies occurred were Planned Parenthood abortion clinics.

“We have been overwhelmed with reports and photos of incidents in four different states. We are working as fast as we can to investigate them further and get complaints out to the appropriate state agencies,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.

The abortion emergencies took place at:

Planned Parenthood, Houston, Texas, February 6, 2015.

Planned Parenthood, Riverside, California, February 7, 2015.

Little Rock Family Planning Services, Little Rock, Arkansas, February 7, 2015.

Akron Women’s Medical Group, Akron, Ohio, February 7, 2015.

Houston Planned Parenthood

In Houston, activists with the Houston Coalition for Life reported that the ambulance turned off lights and sirens when leaving the Planned Parenthood abortion facility on Gulf Coast and only reactivated them after turning the corner onto another street. The ambulance was seen headed in the direction of Ben Taub Hospital, where other women injured by abortions at Planned Parenthood were also sent.

Operation Rescue has documented at least five other medical emergencies at this Houston Planned Parenthood facility, including one involving a confusing 911 call placed on behalf of a 33-year old woman suffering massive hemorrhage in March 2014.

Court records indicate that as many as 1,000 women are hospitalized in Texas each year due to abortion complications.

Riverside Planned Parenthood

Riverside ambulance 02072015.jpgA former member of The Survivors had the presence of mind to snap photos when an ambulance arrived at the Riverside Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in response to a medical emergency at 12:15 pm on February 7, 2015. The witness reports that the suffering woman was brought out of the abortion clinic on a gurney. A sheet covering her failed to conceal a visible bulge in the woman’s abdomen, indicating that she was in the advanced stages of pregnancy. The condition of this woman remains unknown.

A 21-year old woman, Edrica Goode, died from complications to an abortion she received at this same Planned Parenthood facility on January 31, 2007.

Abortionist at this facility include Katharine Sheehan, Martin J. Roitman, Son H. Nguyen.

Little Rock, Arkansas

The fifth medical emergency documented at Little Rock Family Planning Services since January 2014, took place on February 7, 2015. Activists with posted video of the incident on Facebook, which showed one of the clinic escorts laughing and dancing as she helped other clinic workers display sheets and blankets to prevent pro-life supporters from photographing the incident.

The abortionist responsible for the carnage at Little Rock’s last remaining surgical abortion clinic appears to be Thomas H. Tvedten, who once sued to block a ban on the heinous Partial Birth Abortion procedure, which is now outlawed in the U.S.

Akron, Ohio

As reported by Operation Rescue earlier, an abortion patient was rushed to the hospital after suffering complications to an abortion at the Akron Women’s Medical Group on February 7, 2015. That facility has repeatedly failed inspections by the Ohio Department of Health with serious violations including untrained staff and general filth inside the clinic.

Abortionists at the Akron facility include Mohammed Rezaee, Raymond E. Robinson, and Lucy Ann Nunnally.

“Even with the increased documentation of abortion abuses due to faithful pro-life activists around the country, we still only see a small percentage of the actual carnage inflicted by the abortion cartel. These incidents prove that abortion isn’t safe just because it is legal and that state regulators need to keep a tighter watch on abortion facilities and shut them down when things go wrong,” said Newman. “Of course, we want to see every abortion mill close, but those that are sending women to hospital emergency rooms at the frequency of these abortion clinics, pose a particularly urgent danger to the public.”

Victim of Botched Abortion 27 Years Ago Prompts Discovery of Sexual Abuse Discipline of Maryland Abortionist

By Cheryl Sullenger

Baltimore, MD – When the phone rings at Operation Rescue, one never knows quite what to expect.

The red light flashed on my office phone alerting me that a voicemail message awaited my attention. As I started my computer and settled in on Monday morning to begin a new week of work, I hit the voicemail button and fumbled for a post-it note.

“Hi, Cheryl. My name is Danielle…” the voice began.

Danielle had been having a series of reoccurring dreams about a doctor she had seen in 1987 or so when she was a young girl in the Baltimore foster care system. One such dream prompted the early-morning call to my office.

A name she couldn’t shake all those years – the name that was the subject of her disturbing nightmares — was the name of Dr. Ghevont Wartanian.

“I almost died after an abortion that Dr. Wartanian performed,” Danielle said. She related how Wartanian had conducted an abortion on her in her sixth month of pregnancy. However, he left tissue and the placenta inside her, which putrified and caused a massive infection. She had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to remove the festering tissue.

At the time, Danielle was just 13 years old. She had been placed in foster care after suffering from physical and sexual abuse in which she became pregnant and infected with a venereal disease.

As horrific as her story was, it happened so long ago that I knew that there wasn’t much we could do for her. Thinking Danielle just needed a referral for a post abortion healing program, I had our assistant, Deborah Myers, contact her.

But Danielle didn’t need post abortion healing. She just thought the information she had might help us in some way after seeing a story I wrote about Wartanian in 2010.

At that time, Wartanian was working at the now-closed GyneCare abortion facility in Severna Park, Maryland. He was keeping the abortion business running after the owner, Romeo Ferrer, had his medical license suspended following public outcry over the death of his abortion patient, Denise Crowe.

I found that Wartanian had a long history of medical abuses that became the subject of a front-page story in the Baltimore Sun in 2001 that exposed a dangerous lack of oversight at the Maryland Board of Physicians. Wartanian was used as an object lesson in a call for Board reforms and greater oversight of physicians.

Despite several cases of negligence that resulted in dead babies that were wanted by their mothers and life-threatening injuries inflicted on women, Wartanian was never disciplined by the Maryland Board of Physicians.

In 1994, an attorney representing a woman whose baby, Paul, died due to Wartainan’s incompetence complained to the MDBP and implored them to look into Wartanian’s practice. The Board declined.

In 2002, when the Maryland General Assembly was considering amendments to the law that would have reformed the way the Board disciplined dangerous physicians, the attorney submitted cases of Wartanian’s incompetence but was told the Board found nothing that warranted discipline.

In 2010, I wrote:

To this day, even though additional malpractice suits have been filed against Wartanian, he still boasts of a clean record which belies the truth behind a career that has been characterized by what can only be described as quackery.

Troubled that this long-time abortionist, whose incompetence and “cavalier attitude” toward the suffering of others was running interference for an incompetent abortionist that had recently killed a patient, we wrote to the MDBP and asked that they perform a competency review on Wartanian. To my knowledge, one was never done.

We found out later from Michael Martelli, the former director of the Maryland Coalition for Life, that my exposé had greatly disturbed Wartanian, who maintained a private practice with another doctor in Glen Burnie. Two days after its publication, Martelli decided to take his 40 Days for Life prayer group over to Wartanian’s main office hoping to persuade Wartanian to stop doing abortions at Ferrer’s clinic.

Wartanian met with Martelli and after a cordial 45-minute discussion, Wartanian agreed to stop doing abortions effective immediately. He called Gynecare, cancelled his existing appointments, and told the clinic he would not be coming back. With no one to replace Wartanian, Ferrer permanently closed Gynecare. Ferrer’s own medical license was soon surrendered, and we thought that was the end of the story. With Wartanian supposedly out of the abortion business, we soon moved on.

That is, until Danielle called.

Deborah searched Wartanian’s medical license to see if he was still practicing. That’s when she discovered that he was in fact still in business and had been just been reprimanded in an order dated July 22, 2014. It was the first disciplinary action against him in all his years of documented ineptitude.

According to the disciplinary documents, Wartanian had been reprimanded and ordered to pay a fine of $10,000 for “engaging in unprofessional conduct and sexual misconduct in the practice of medicine.”

It seems that the “preponderance of the evidence” against Wartanian proved that he had committed sexual impropriety when he made two patients undress in front of him, then humiliated them with sexually explicit comments during manual examinations of their private body parts — all without a chaperone in the examination room.

The Maryland Board of Physicians ordered Wartanian to work under the watchful eye of a chaperone as a permanent condition of his licensure.

Sexual improprieties and even molestation and rape are not all that uncommon within the abortion cartel. Wartanian’s disciplinary action is a further case in point.

I can only wonder if these women would have been spared the indignities they suffered if only the Maryland Board of Physicians had acted to perform that competency review we asked for in 2010, or if better discipinary rules were passed in 2002, or if they had seriously investigated him in 1994, or if he had been held accountable for nearly killing 13-year old Danielle in 1987. There were many opportunities throughout the years to protect the public from Wartanian’s abusive practices.

Each time the Board declined to act, more women suffered.

Last month’s reprimand and fine are too little, too late for a man with a history like Wartanian’s.

It is evident that traditional discipline and public exposure of his misdeeds did little to persuade him to amend his ways. It is more than apparent that the reforms called for in 2001 and again in 2010, after the discovery of Steven Brigham’s illegal bi-state late-term abortion scheme, did not nearly go far enough.

Often we are asked how we discover information on the abortion cartel. Sometimes it comes through plain hard work, but other times, like in this case, the information seems to come to us through circumstances that could only be orchestrated by God. Danielle’s dreams were for a reason, so the ugly truth about this dangerous man could be further exposed, lest we forget that men like Wartanian are out there abusing women in the name of medicine for their own perverted pleasure.

Speaking of Danielle, her story was easily corroborated with a simple Google search.

It seems that Danielle suffered horribly from abuse at such a young age, which was only compounded by her botched abortion. Nevertheless, her experiences drove her to help others. Today, she is a social worker whose job it is to prevent children from suffering the abuse she endured, both at the hands of family members and the hands of an incompetent abortionist.

Meanwhile, Wartanian, now 68 years old, has stopped doing abortions, according to his receptionist, yet he remains open for business and is still seeing patients despite molesting at least two women who trusted their care to him — not to mention four decades of infliction of human misery and tragedy on one patient after another.

It is evident that the physician disciplinary system in Maryland is broken and that greater reforms are needed. A lack of Board action on a doctor’s profile is certainly no indication of physician competence in that state. But women who don’t know that continue to walk into the offices of abusers like Wartanian, abortionist LeRoy Carhart, and others thinking they are getting competent medical care when nothing could be further from the truth.

Maryland must stop looking the other way and clean up their regulatory mess before more women suffer and more babies needlessly die.
