Terri Schiavo died this morning at her hospice in Pinellas Park, Florida. Her family had been asked to leave her bedside just 10 minutes before their daughter passed. It is being widely reported that her estranged husband, Michael was at her side in her final moments. Please join us in offering prayers for the comfort of Terri’s friends and family.
A Message from Troy Newman, President, Operation Rescue
“To give assistance to any in murdering themselves, directly or indirectly, if done wittingly, incurs the guilt of blood, and that the lives of princes ought to be, in a special manner, precious to us.” Matthew Henry’s commentary on the whole Bible : Complete and unabridged in one volume (2 Sa 1:11).
Dear Friend of the Helpless,
We have just learned that Terri has passed away at approximately 10:00am (EST) this morning. She heroically clung to life for 14 days without a drop of water. This, above all else, proves she had a will to live and was healthier than most people who can speak on their own.
Let us long remember Terri as a brave soldier who fought valiantly in her personal battle for life and has become a tragic causality in our modern day culture war. But her death is not in vain. Her death has purchased the beginnings of a social, moral awakening on the issue of the Sanctity of Life. March 31, 2005 must go down in history and our battle cry must be REMEMBER TERRI SCHAIVO!
The brave men at the Alamo changed history with their heroic stand against tyranny. The sacrifice of their lives became the rallying cry for Justice! “Remember the Alamo!” has been the roar of victory on every battlefield since that fateful dawn on March 6, 1836, in San Antonio, Texas.
So too, Terri’s last stand will long be remembered and honored in our hearts. Let’s us press forward toward victory against the forces of death.
With a heavy heart,
Troy Newman,
President
