Omaha, NE – Late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart is making repairs on the outside of his run-down Bellevue, Nebraska, abortion clinic and has embarked on a media disinformation campaign in preparation for Operation Rescue’s visit later this month.
“Carhart can paint that dump all he wants, but that just putting lipstick on a pig,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “A coat of paint isn’t going to stop women from being injured and hospitalized after Carhart gets his hands on them, as we saw over and over again in Kansas.”
A video taken on Friday, August 14, 2009, by Larry Donlan of Rescue the Heartland shows workers preparing the dilapidated structure for paint while one of Carhart’s hired handymen knocked down pro-life signs, verbally abused Donlan, and attempted to mislead him about the property line so that Donlan would have to stand farther away from the clinic than necessary.
Carhart hires former Tiller employee and her self-avowed “Satanist” husband
The video also revealed that Carhart has hired at least one of the former employees of George Tiller’s now-closed Women’s Health Care Services. Lindsey Alejandro is seen on the recording being verbally abused by a male Carhart employee who identified himself as a “Satanist” and as her husband.
Alejandro is best known as the abortion worker who falsified the fetal age of a woman named “Shaye” during an ultrasound examination at Tiller’s clinic in order to avoid having to comply with Kansas laws restricting abortions after 22-weeks gestation. (See documentation.)
“This may be a signal that he is training his Nebraska workers to do the more dangerous late-term abortions,” said Newman. “That was his backup plan if efforts to reestablish a late-term mill in Kansas fell through.”
The new face of abortion in the media
Carhart has been a media favorite of late, attempting to “sell” the public on his goal of continuing late-term abortions. Wild claims have been made in some reports that police expect the event involving Operation Rescue, scheduled for August 28-29, to turn violent. Once an Operation Rescue Staff member contacted the Bellevue police concerning the peaceful, legal nature of the planned activities, the police have since moderated their comments in the media.
“The purpose of the public relations campaign is to make him look like the victim in order to gain sympathy,” said Newman. “But Carhart is the real victimizer. We cannot forget Christin Gilbert, an innocent 19 year old girl with Down’s syndrome, that Carhart killed during a botched third-trimester abortion, or Carhart’s numerous abortion patients that needed emergency hospitalization after suffering botched abortions at his hands, or the tens of thousands or innocent pre-born babies that have died from abortions done by him.”
“Keep It Closed” Campaign Bears Fruit
All this precedes an event scheduled for later this month, which is part of the “Keep it Closed” campaign that is focused on blocking Carhart’s efforts to open a late-term abortion mill in the United States to take the place of Tiller’s closed clinic.
The campaign has already borne fruit. Just Friday Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, vowed to keep Carhart and abortions out of their hospital. The statement was in response to a petition launched by Operation Rescue just days before. Carhart had made public statements that Wichita was his target city for his new late-term abortion clinic. Tiller, who employed Carhart, had used Wesley for his botched abortion patients and had been on Medical Staff there.
“Carhart has to face the reality that the vast majority of Americans oppose his late-term abortion business,” said Newman. “No one wants him operating in their community. We are going to continue to work through peaceful, legal means to block his plans to continue late-term abortions, which present an unacceptable risk to the public – especially when done by him.”

(Note: Operation Rescue later learned that the man in the video who described himself as a “satanist” did offer a brief apology to Donlan after his obsenity-filled tirade, but Donlan has doubts about his sincerity.)
Good job showing the type of person who works for the abortion industry. Somehow I wish pro-lifers would not need to shout and be so in-your-face to these people because it makes us ’sound’ on their level as far as tone, etc. However, I know this is about the murder of babies, many babies – so if it takes the in-your-face shouting, then so be it. I am so glad that the pro-lifer in this video kept repeating that he knew where the boundary line was, and was not intimidated by this guy. He spoke the truth, and he didn’t back down. I think we in the pro-life movement need to bring charges against those who assault us. When I first joined the battle against abortion, I thought that I had to put up with abuse from the police and the pro-aborts, because it was not christian to “complain”, but I soon learned that if you give them an opportunity they will literally physically and verbally abuse you. I realized it doesn’t matter who is breaking the law, it needs to be reported.I read a quote from an abortion mill worker who said that having to listen to the songs and prayers of pro-lifers was the hardest part of their day. And that it made them discuss what they were doing, and pricked their conscience every day. Keep up the wonderful work, all you picketers who go out there every day. God bless you all!!
I pray this man will realize some day, even in some small way, that his anger is a mask he protects himself with, a defense mechanism that tries to hide his guilt for his role. That is, his guilt that he is afraid to look at, just like his fear to really look at the true hideousness and evil which is abortion. I pray that some day that a desire for truth and justice will crack open his defenses, and he will respond with a growing desire for more. Also, good job by the pro-lifer standing his ground. I pray for OR’s effectiveness in all that they do to stand up for life, true liberty, God’s truth and justice in this present evil age of people’s doing what is right in their own eyes only, without regard to their Creator and His living Word, without regard to right and wrong. I agree that Mr. Dolan should press charges of assault against the Satanist. If the police won’t cooperate, which is likely, then Mr. Dolan should get a restraining order against him. This video should also be shared with the gay community. Pro-aborts want to abort gays.

That’s shocking that a devil worshiper would call some one a fag because they support life……if he loved the devil then why use such an insult, after all the devil stands for all those kinds of sins whether it be murder or being homosexual. That man is a joke and it’s really something when pro-aborts get frustrated when we speak the truth. They hate it………but for the babies it’s worth going through all of that to save them.
Wish I could’ve seen the video, though I wonder what part of the YouTube TOS was violated. Was it because of the obscenities? If so, maybe bleeping them out and adding subtitles with most of the offensive words starred out would work. Shame, though, since that would undercut the shock value.
Michelle I’m sure it’s not because of the cussing in the video because I’ve seen too many with swears in it. It’s just a bunch of pro-choice people upset because the video shown the truth on how violent pro-choice people get towards pro-lifers that are trying to save women and babies and it’s probably just them reporting it so it can get taken off the website. It’s a shame when youtube can allow pro-choicers call pro-lifers violent when the true violence is them and that murderer inside that dump.
if the women would worry as much about getting pregant as they do having an abortion maybe we wouldnt have to have abortion.. and yes the women has to make sure they dont get pregant more than the man.. after they carry the baby and sounds like they dont want one… so wake up women and start be prepared or dont have sex.. u cant have both… and it seems to be older women who have the abortions.. women who know better and should be prepared… its discust me when i hear that older more experienced women are getting pregant…
