Tiller’s Bold-Faced Lie Insults Community, Victims

If he is going to lie about this, what else is he lying about?

An Opinion by Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue

On the 35th memorial of Roe v. Wade, late-term abortionist George R. Tiller defiantly posted a self-promoting banner on the fence surrounding his infamous abortion mill, Women’s Health Care Services, which stated, “Wichita Stands with Dr. Tiller, 35 years of saving women’s lives.”

But according to information collected by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDH&E), there has never been a reported abortion since reporting was mandated that was done for the purpose of saving the life of a woman.

It is obvious from state records that Tiller has never saved the life of a single woman by giving her an abortion. Frankly, his statement is insulting to the family of Christin Gilbert, a Tiller patient who died from complications of a botched third-trimester abortion two years ago.

The absurdity of Tiller’s claim at life-saving becomes tragically evident when we couple Gilbert’s avoidable death with the fact that Tiller currently faces 19 criminal charges for illegally taking the lives of 19 viable babies that should have had the protection of law. A grand jury is also in the process of investigating allegations that Tiller committed hundreds more illegal abortions beyond viability – about half of which would have been done on girl babies.

And as far as community support goes, over 15,000 citizens of Sedgwick County who signed petitions calling for two grand juries to investigate Tiller might differ with the abortionist’s boast that Wichita stands with him. In fact, nearly 70% of Wichita households oppose abortion and Tiller’s abortion business, according to a poll commissioned by Operation Rescue.

Tiller’s banner would have more accurately read: “George Tiller: 35 years of exploiting women and taking lives.”

If he is going to lie about this, what else is he lying about?

Tiller is “delusional.” He has a jaded sense of his own self importance and lacks the ability to be introspective, He is wrapped up in his own world which is a false belief system where he feels he is a hero and everyone around him supports him in his theory. He actually can’t see beyond his own sense of entitlement. He sees himself as the persecuted savior of women. He is mentally ill and those around him who benefit financiallly uphold him in his beliefs. Since his father was also an abortionist, Tiller feels he is honoring his father by following in his footsteps. Apparantly his death took a toll on Tiller and he wants to carry on his father’s legacy pursuing the one thing which he feels will bring him recognition and help him draw some kind of closure in his father’s death. Tiller is a very narrow minded, self centered, egotistical, cowardly babykiller. He cannot face the “REAL GEORGE TILLER.” The banner which he created shows he is “losing his mind.” His demons are torturing his soul. This display of ego where this banner is concerned shows his self confidence is dwindling. I seriously think that in time as he ages he is going to be losing touch with any reality as he has committed the most horendous of crimes which will follow him to his grave. The ghosts in his mind will haunt him.

  • It’s like the old lawyer joke. How do you know when Tiller is lying? His lips are moving.

Tiller, is a hedonistic narcissist. His illusions of grandeur have created a mythological creation of himself. But the people who work with him, the babies who have been butchered at his hands, (half of them who are little women), the folks who stand faithfully against him week in and week out, and His Creator, know what a vile and wicked man he is. One day, Tiller will fall into the pit that he has dug, and that’s a Bible promise to stand on!

This whole issue with this abortion mill is such a tragedy. It seems like at any time Tiller could retire to a life of luxury in his large home in that gated community of his. He is wealthier than the vast majority of Kansans. (I think median family income in Kansas is about $40,000 per year). I have to wonder if he will ever be held to account for all that has happened at this horrible place. Nevertheless, we should keep praying and keep the legal pressure on him.

And let us not forget, that Tiller himself has admitted that doing abortions is “worth going to hell for”.

My theory on this whole Tiller mess, is, that regardless of the outcome of this investigation, the publicity he and his clinic is getting is not doing him any good. He is getting old, and will probably just close the place up for good. He is looking feeble and more deranged than ever. The stress and anxiety of these court battles HAS to take it’s toll on him eventually. The legal fees he’s incurring has to be breaking him financially.

He’ll porbably have one last high profile abortion death that will do him in for good, and the situation will solve itself.
