Washington, DC – In a noteworthy show of unity, a coalition of sixty pro-life/pro-family advocacy groups have sent a letter to each United States Senator and Congressman asking them to stop Federal funding to Planned Parenthood. Operation Rescue added its support to the letter, which included such a list of heavy-hitters in the conservative arena such as Concerned Women For America, Focus on the Family, Eagle Forum, American Family Association, Traditional Values Coalition, and Americans United for Life, to name a few.
The letter was prompted by 107 criminal charges that were filed last week against Planned Parenthood by Kansas District Attorney Phill Kline alleging that Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri committed illegal abortions then made false statements regarding the abortions to governmental authorities to which they are required to report.
“We are privileged to stand with 59 other groups in calling for a halt to the funding of Planned Parenthood. Tax payers should not be forced to fund an organization that is under criminal indictment for operating outside the law,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

It’s great to hear that diverse pro-life groups are united in this Congressional effort to hold the abortion industry accountable. Strength is always greater in numbers. Once again the adage “United we stand; divided we fall” rings true.
Unity among all these pro-life groups will be key to stopping the war on the unborn.
Operation Rescue should consider adding a link on their website of an index search page listing all the contact information for Congress members nationwide and the White House so that individual citizens can join in the email campaign as well.
to everyone who visits this website regularly you may remember me asking for prayer for a friend who was scheduled for an abortion at planned parenthood yesterday (my son’s first birthday! I can’t believe he is ONE!) She canceled her appointment at the last minute but has not ruled out abortion yet. though I think she is leaning towards keeping her baby…but they are not out of PP’s clutches yet so keep praying! She is about six weeks pregnant. please everyone…pray!!!!!
I’ll keep praying for her, Sarah. Can I just call her “Sandra”? I don’t need her real name, I am sure God will know who I am asking for prayers for. And hopefully she’ll find a women’s shelter that can help her out during her pregnancy and provide a safe place for her.
thanks all life is precious! you can call her Sandra…God knows!
