Its activities are on the cutting edge of the abortion issue, taking direct action to restore legal personhood to the pre-born and stop abortion in obedience to biblical mandates.

By: Christina Durante

<guid

It saddens me that your office is taking such delay in recognizing that the death of this child was intentional and inhumane and possibly preventable (under the law). While the choice to abort a child may be legal, in the sense that our courts do not consider it criminal, it is illegal for abortion to be performed by an unlicensed person and then to knowingly and with malice prevent a child, whether by botched abortion or not, from life saving medical treatment. The very idea that it is okay to end the life of an American citizen, by virtue of the 14th amendment which states that any person “born” in the united states is granted equal protection under the law, and then to hide and dispose of the evidence is downright hypocritical, irresponsible, unethical and illegal. There should not be any question as to whether or not criminal charges be filed against this clinic and those involved. Considering the fact that tax payers who are vehemently against the destruction of life grown in the womb (whether you accept that life begins at conception or not you cannot deny that life grows within a woman’s womb) are not being afforded their right to not participate in such a demoralizing industry, I would hope that you would consider their voices and their rights as private citizens, as well. The sad truth is that abortion is not a personal decision that affects only one person, it is a decision that has lasting and chainlike effects on many people and society at large. Whether or not you agree with that assertion, this specific case is reflective of that truth. As a representative of your State and as someone hired to defend the rights of its people, I implore you to do what it right and just and not perpetuate this tragedy any longer. The mere fact that Baby Shanice was given a name should remind you of the humanity required in seeing this case clearly.Sincerely,
