I was 8 years old when I first saw a picture of an aborted baby’s head being held over a jar by forceps. It upset me so much I ran to my mother to find out who had killed the baby and why. The picture was an ad placed in a magazine by Human life International.
I am so thankful that I saw that picture! I began at 8 years old to research abortion. Today it is my crusade to end this murderous, sexist operation! Because I learned about the unborn and pregnancy I began to appreciate my feminity and consequently didn’t get involved in sexual activity like my friends. I also didn’t drink and do drugs.
Today I am happily married and two weeks ago I gave birth to a precious little boy. Giving birth has only strengthened my resolve to help end abortion.
to allie who ages ago commented that the unborn are dependent on their mothers and therefore aren’t human lives…a newborn is also dependent on his mother. Do I therefore have the right to kill my infant son? After all he is totally dependent on me to feed him and keep him warm. Your argument smacks of eugenics and HITLER. Also a fetus is alive. If a fetus wasn’t alive he/she couldn’t grow.
I didn’t go to my ob/gyn appointments so the dr. could check the progress of my dead dependent clump of cells. Who cares what Rolling Stone magazine says? They aren’t an unbiased source for stories on the pro-life movement. They actually once put a full page ad in a newspaper that tried to encourage people to join the occult. They also said there should be more songs about Satan in that same ad. Jerry you are so clear heading I enjoy reading your post. Short, ( sweet ) so to speak and to the point. The other long winded whiney bags are simply long winded and boreing with arguments that don’t make any sense even if I had the patience to read throught. I would surmize from your tone, that I gave more heart wrenching thought to putting down my sick dog than you did killing your child now in the arms of God!. It fact it just occurred to me that prehaps God was there after all ,but not to comfort you but to take possession of the very child you were about to torture and kill to get out of your “crises” .
I’m glad children of ALL ages see the Truth Trucks! As soon as a child can ask WHY. The truth can be told and understood and appreciated. It did not hurt little suzzie cue to lose sleep. No she won’t soon forget the images, at least I hope she never forgets.
I began sharing pictures with my children when they were young. They are grown. They survived and they never have an abortion for any reason, nor would they ever suppport anyone doing so.
So quit whining and just face a simple truth – you are a murderer, you support murdering and you can’t stand to be faced with the truth of your actions. If you ever do, then you will lose sleep, you might even repent.

I agree totally with the Truth trucks. They should be on ever corner and in every church parking lot. All people should have to see ( what we have allowed ) to happen in our world. If you cant’ stomach the images on the trucks and billboards don’t fight the trucks fight the abortion clinic. They are only a picture of the reality of what is going on right under our nose.
I have just spent the last hour reading these post, and I have to kind of laugh at the lady who was so upset that her little one had to see those pictures of truth, abortion kills!! What is she going to do when her little girl gets to be about 9 or 10 and knows more about sex then she ever wanted her to know, by her peers in school, oops better keep her home so she doesn’t get the dirt on the playground. Don’t shelter so much teach the truth about good and evil in this world it is a reality. When my daughter happened to stumble in on a film we were watching about abortion (she was 6), I could of panicked and got all ticked off at the people who were suppose to be babysitting her while at church, but instead I thought well good time to teach and communicate about the evils of this world, she didn’t sleep well that night either and we spent the next two hours talking about it, I explained that sometimes mommies are lied to about their babies inside by their doctors and they make a choice based on their doctor advising abortion, some mommies don’t want children and think it is best to just get rid of them, so I said to her are you happy your mommy chose to give you life, and she said yes and hugged me, I told her we need to be God’s voice and speak out against abortion, but we need to do it God’s way with conviction, when we stood our on the sidewalks holding our signs about abortion killing innocent children she held her sign as high as she could, and now at the age of 20 she is very much so a pro-lifer, my son who is 18 has had debates in high school about how abortion is murder and no person has a right to kill a human being and that would include you women. If you don’t want the possibility of becoming pregnant then DON’T HAVE SEX, stay pure until your are married and in a position to bring a life into this world, don’t get rid of it because you chose to act irresponsible, and please teach your kids about good and evil, they will be a much better person later on in life.
You know, I used to be against the Truth Trucks and even commented negatively when I saw them last week but after doing some thinking, I decided that it’s needed to show what happens with abortion.

There is some argument over whether or not God walks with those committing sins. I personally believe that when God told me He would never leave nor forsake me, He meant it, for all situations unless the committing of the sin against the Holy Spirit, which no one who feels a connection with God could have committed.*
If God is always with me, He does not go away when I sin and wait until I repent to return. He is there, even if I cannot fully experience His grace (and salvation, should I die), until I have turned from my sin and asked humbly for his forgiveness.
I know from past experience I would never be able to abort a child of mine, even in dire circumstances, and I am against the death penalty as well as abortion. But I would never dream of telling a woman who has already had an abortion and is obviously uncomfortable with it that God left her for committing that sin. We all sin. Continually. We all needs God’s grace. And He is there for all of us, whether we forget that giving glory to Him is even more important than posting comments on an online discussion (yes, I’m guilty!) or we cave under pressure and succumb to abortion.

to Gwen: Of course, I agree that God will never leave a person; what Christians mean when they say that is that his grace will leave. People can voluntarily remove themselves from grace; this is a basic truth of free will.
I also agree that we should not concentrate on heaping blame on women who have had abortions. We have no idea what kind of pressure and confusion they have been under. It is extremely difficult to make an informed descision under such circumstances, so I imagine that most of them have not entirely turned away from grace. They are confused, they are hurt, they are suffering, and they need us to help them, especially with our prayers.
There is a movement starting, there is a rumbling in the spirit, the season of apathy and apostasy is waning.
Who knows if you have not become acquainted with the truth of abortion, the network of prolifers for such a time as this.

I read some of these posts, but not all of them. It makes me very concerned that we’re squabbling among ourselves. The devil loves to divide Christians. Let’s not insult each other. It happens sometimes -everyone does it. But it will only divide us further. A house divided against itself cannot stand. The topic causes anger because we’re dealing with babies, but let’s not get mad at each other.
I have to say that if there were more compassion for a woman who was raped, she might make a decision to keep the baby. We in the Church need to pray that we show compassion, and not agree with the sin. Many times people will go to the world when the Church does not help them through, and some of them end up turning their backs on God. I think a woman who is raped should be helped by the Church, not left alone to fend for herself in the aftermath of this. As far as I know, most are not. I’ve noticed this myself in other areas of life. There are some who do really care, but mostly, when you are really in need, other Christians don’t want to know you. There are those who do the best they can for everyone, though. I think everyone is here because they want to make a difference for the better, and not for the worse. It’s what God wants.
Remember, we’re on the same side, and our enemy is Satan, not fellow Christians. Can everyone make up?
Amen, Carrie. I agree with everything you said, and I only want to add that it’s not just women who have been raped we have to love. We have to reach out to all women who are facing unwanted pregnancy, even if they engaged in sex voluntarily. I’m a young female college student, and I know the extent of the misinformation on sex and the misery it’s caused. I’ve seen women absolutely crushed by what they’ve done to themselves sexually. We should have nothing but compassion for these women. God doesn’t judge and neither should we.
You need to create some banners that websites can put up so they can offer you free advertising.
Sometimes the truth hurts, but it has to be told, with love. Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me”. The way to life is via the truth. Thankyou Operation Rescue for showing us the way.
Why do people who support abortion, the killing of people in the womb, accuse Pro-Life people of violence and “stalking”? 50 million people have been killed by abortion in America since 1973. 5 doctors/support people have been killed during the same time. I don’t support the killing of anyone, but you folks have some twisted ethics.

If you really want to save human lives you could for example do somthing against death penalty, this is where the focus should be. Because there is a difference between killing a grown up person or a few cells.
Philo, I am totally against the death penalty. I believe it’s a barbaric institution that has no place in a civilized nation. However, the fact is that a handful of of grown men and women, all convicted felons, are killed yearly by the death penalty, while a totally innocent child is killed about twice a minute by abortion. It’s horrible that I have to choose between voting for someone who is against abortion and someone who is against the death penalty. But until an electable candidate is against both, it’s clear that the ethical choice is to support the anti-abortion one.
I believe that everyone who is pro-life is only consistently pro-life if they are against the dealth penalty, but being against the death penalty and for abortion is a hundred times sillier than being for the killing of innocent children and against the killing of convicted felons.
Also, you and I are both “a few cells.” We’re all made of cells. From fertilization until death, even death 100 years later, the only thing added to the fertilized egg is nutrients. Conception is the only non-arbitrary place to designate the beginning of life. That’s just science.

Death penalty vs. Abortion
the bible says
if a man sheds the blood of another man (*innocent), then by man shall his ( the murder) blood be shed. Felons are not innocent.

Rodger, the Gospels are very clearly against the death penalty (John 8:1-11). Killing a killer was required at certain times in history to keep him from killing again; now, with the security in modern prisons, the death penalty is outmoded and clearly wrong.
Everyone deserves to live. Justified as our anger is, we can’t desire death for anyone, even abortionists. Only God is the just judge of who should live or die; judging others is not our business (Luke 6:37).
Mind you, I agree that abortion is a more pressing issue than the death penality. First of all, there are far more victims of abortion than of the death penalty. Secondly, the victims of abortion are innocent. Abortion is an abomination and must be stopped.
I dont think any good christian should judge others with negativity no matter what their beleifs. God loves all his children so why can’t you as a child of Gods learn to love your brothers and sisters. God gave us the gift to make our own choices and decisions. God would not dare persecute anyone no matter what their sins are, including abortion. I myself am still very young and yet i learn to see through innocent eyes. some of you call yourselves true christians but i know that the people who god chose to be his followers would not discriminate against people who are different from themselves. i hope you all read this and stop and think about how you would like to be treated in a situation like abortion before you start a hate war. what if your daughter, sister, or neice got an abortion?- would you still hate them?
Mel, you seem to be saying that saying abortion is wrong, and trying to stop people from having an abortion, is the same as hating and discriminating against a person for choosing abortion. what if my sister, niece, etc., attempted suicide? Of course I would try to stop them. Would I do that because I hated them for making a different choice, as your comment says? On the contrary, I’d be doing it because I love them and want to save them from doing such a horrible thing to themselves. I also want to stop every one of my sisters in the human race from committing the horrible act of abortion because I do love them and I don’t want them to suffer.
I admit that some people respond to abortion by blaming and hating the people involved in this tragedy. These people are judging other human beings, which is wrong. But there’s nothing wrong with judging the morality of an act. Abortion is wrong and it has to be stopped. I’m not judging anyone when I say that.
This just shows me another reason why there’s a heaven and hell. God is JUST and HATES SIN (He states in Numbers 14:18 that He loves but will by NO MEANS let the guilty go unpunished)!!! He won’t tolerate it in the SLIGHTEST and makes it very clear in His Word.
It never says in the Bible that just believeing Christ existed will save you, instead, He says:
“Straight is the gate and NARROW is the way that leads to life & few be that find it!”
(God never says everyone is “ok” and that He loves them and accept them no matter what they do) Romans 2:12 Here’s the reason: Whoever sins without having laws from God will still be condemned to destruction. And whoever has laws from God and sins will still be judged by them.

You see, you can follow your heart (which the Bible says is wicked beyond relief), or you can REPENT and BELIEVE the GOSPEL, which is the death, burial and resurrection of Christ/the POWER of God unto salvation by being Born Again with Christ’s Spirit and then be led by the Holy Ghost who will lead you into all truth (and give you a new heart of righteousness)! The choice is yours, but I GUARANTEE you’ll be deceived and on your way to hell without it….. and the scariest thing is that you’ll think you’re right all the way down to the farthest pit.

1. not all people who are executed are also guilty. you can never know for sure if a person is innocent or not.
2. a preborn baby cannot feel pain like a grown up person because it doesnt know what fear is and in addition it is not yet a part of a social network …
i think that people who want other people to die, wheter they are “sinners” or not, are no good christs.
one of the main differences between pro livers and me (pro choice) is, that you believe that a fetus is a real person and i believe that you cant put a fetus on a level with a grown up.

I first met Troy Newman at the American Life League convention in Tampa, FL. in 1997 or 1998 I was the head of security for the event. What impressed me the most was his having no problem being shoved to the very end of the vendor area (a remote area) because he had pictures of what an abortion looked like. Also, he went out of his way to find the local abortion clinics in Tampa, so he could spend Saturday morning helping rescue unborn babies. That showed me the heart of the man we know as Troy Newman.
Troy did not have a problem when myself and Josiah (a former Lamb of Christ) took one his 4X5′ abortion pics, and plastered it by the only escalator leading to the 2nd floor (for another event) of the convention center. The line was backed up out the door, and literally thousands of people from the Tampa Bay area got an up-close and personal look at what abortion is. Joe Schieldler was there, and gave a nodding approval at what we had done.
Reactions ranged from tears to disgust to anger. It remained in place for two hours, until the head of security for the convention ripped it down. Though Troy’s poster was destroyed, he did not care, as people got an up close look at what abortion is. That is the manner of the man I know as Troy Newman.

Philo – What the heck does being in a social network have to do with feeling pain? And if you would try doing research, many women DIE from abortion or are seriously injured, even left as vegetables – so tell me again how keeping abortion legal saves lives? Also, if you do a tad more research after that, you will also notice the faces on those tiny CHILDREN who have been murdered by abortion – pretty sure they show suffering and pain, not thankfulness for ending their LIFE. The ones that want to go on killing babies and do not want to see the pictures that show the truth (blaming Christians for showing what goes on behind closed doors) What about what your children are being told in school about abortion and what about your children being allowed to get an abortion without their parents knowing anything about it? And what about when the child has complications and is taken to the hospital. Isn’t it funny how the parents are notified then? Why doesn’t the abortion clinic pay the hospital bill since it is their fault and they took responsibiity for the child? But you just want to attack people who care about life. Yes babies are alive. I have never read the Operation Rescue site before, and I have to say as a Christian, a mother and a counselor for many experiencing post-abortion pain I am appalled. The lack of respect, name calling (i.e. “you schizophrenic”) and disturbing assumptions about the faith of detractors is overwhelming. If a young woman, seeking information about not aborting, were to read these wholly unchrist like and very public comments she might turn away from OR when she needs them most. Remember “Be WISE in the way you act towards outsiders, let you conversation be filled with GRACE and seasoned, (not overflowing) with salt.” And as a mother I have say I don’t want my 3 and 5 year old exposed to post abortion pictures, developmentally they aren’t ready to handle it, that is why the scriptures talk about time when we are ready for “milk” and “meat,” be careful not in your forceful exposure of subjects the recievers aren’t mature enough to hear that you aren’t recruiting for the other side.
I have to say being a women who had 3 abortions back in the 80′s I have come to understand the need for these photo’s. I was 20 with my 1st one and was told it was a blob of tissue by the abortion clinic staff. Then figured I was on the way to hell so ended up living a really self mutalating lifestyle of sex,booze and whatever self loathing things I could find and had two more abortions. I think O.R. is serving a great purpose to save young women from the hell that abortion bring to all who are part of it! I am healing now and thank O.R. for going out there and God Bless Troy!
