WICHITA, KS – Operation Rescue conducted a prayer walk on Thursday, April 14, 2005, in the neighborhood of abortion worker Marguerite Reed. Rescuers were accompanied by the Truth Truck, which was parked in front of Reed’s house.
Reed is best known as the employee of late-term abortionist George Tiller who made the 911 call during the medical emergency at his abortion mill on January 13, that resulted in the death of a 19-year old Texas teen. According to an audio file of the call, Reed callously placed the emergency dispatcher on hold for 45 seconds while she checked to see how much she should tell him about the dying women’s condition.
As rescuers prayed and read Bible verses outside her residence, Reed returned home with her family. She immediately called the police, who responded but did nothing to interfere with the peaceful gathering. While she was complaining to the police, Reed’s dog escaped her house and trotted down the street. Reed, wearing high-healed boots, chased the dog through the neighborhood and eventually brought it back home. Many neighbors gathered in their front yards to watch the unusual events unfold.
The following morning Rescuers had gathered at Tiller’s mill when Reed pulled into the driveway of her daycare, just two doors down from the abortion mill. Troy Newman walked down the sidewalk to once again plead with Reed to stop participating in the abortion industry. Reed ran up to Newman and “got in his face” yelling at him and threatening to call the police again.
The police were called and again did nothing to interfere with the Rescuers. In the meantime, Reed pulled into the abortion mill parking lot to report for work. Rescuers called out to her, reminding Reed that the blood of the dead teenager stained her hands along with that of thousands of pre-born babies, and asking for her repentance.
I’m fortunate to actually know Marguerite Reed. Four quick points for the record:
(i) she’s a fabulous female.
(ii) she isn’t “callus” about patients.
(iii) she also isn’t, perhaps surprisingly, persuaded by stalking or harassment–no matter how well intentioned.
(iv) she likely considers Operation Rescue’s tendency to engage in the same disruptive behaviors over and over again while expecting different results to be a sign of sociopathology. This may explain her otherwise enigmatic scowls.

As to your points:
1. “Fabulous” females don’t help murder innocent children for a living, nor do they aid and abet the maiming and killing of women. Marguerite does.
2. Not “callous”? What do you call covering her butt for 45 seconds while a girl’s life ebbs away? That was selfish and hear-hearted in the extreme. Someone who wasn’t callous would have freely cooperated with emergency personnel so that the victim could be helped as quickly and effeciently as possible. And that point doesn’t even touch the emotional devestation that she helps to inflict on women by aiding with their abortions.
3. “Stalking and harassment” are hysterical and inacurate terms for praying for someone so they can have a better life.
4. Praying for someone over and over is now sociopathic?? Then Jesus was sociopathic, and so was Martin Luther, John Whitfield, Jonathan Edwards, even Billy Graham! In fact, it is a hallmark of Christinity to continue in prayer for someone, even for decades. You don’t know all the ends of a matter or what prayer can accomplish in a person’s life. I guess that is sad for you and leaves you in an unenviable pathetic situation. I hope you find Jesus soon and discover the power and comfort of prayer!

if she is so fabulous, then why is there blood on her hands? making your living killing innocent children is nothing to be proud of. and any true health care provider, in dealing with a pregnant “patient”, is really dealing with TWO patients.
therefore, callous is an appropriate word to use in describing people who consider one patient valuable (the strong one with the money) but the other patient garbage (the defenseless innocent one).

As we all walk up our personal calvary called life, and face our deserved wages of death, we find another in our place. The only consolation, the only hope for peace, the only comfort , our only hope for eternaty is found in the face of the one hanging on the tree of Adam’s curse, and who’s blood offers me the gift of the Father’s love .

Re: “stalking and harassment”, careful; legal definitions of those terms assume nefarious/malicious intent, of which ORW is arguably free, especially compared to Reed.

Given her proven tendency to engage in behaviours that are FATALLY disruptive to women and their unborn children over and over again, expecting different results or not, is something darker and more dangerous than the “sociopathology” of which she accuses ORW.
Perhaps, deep down, there is still a spark of humanity and genuine feminity in her which, upon contact with same, flares up against the evil in which she is involved in? This seems unlikely, given what repeated acts of senseless, gratuitous callousness like hers generally do to the souls of their perps; but the conflict, if present, would make a much more plausible explanation for the scowl on her face than illness or evil on the part of ORW; if it were really there, it seems that that would only make her as close to happy as one can be in her present grievous condition.
I will definitely keep her in prayer, as well as ORW; that she will soon follow in the steps of Luhra Tivis, and others who have found-to their increased happiness- real liberation from the culture of death.

Also, I am unsure as to what ‘callus’ (sic) means; if you meant ‘callous,’ then I’d have to consider her little ’911 on hold’ stunt, as well as her working in a place where babies are sucked out of the womb ‘callous.’ But hey, it’s a livin’!!
The fact that abortion is legal is the biggest persuader for a woman facing a crisis pregnancy. A caring woman can be convinced she is doing the best thing for everyone involved without realizing the long term consequences.

The snippy arrogance of Marguerite Reed’s 911 call, and the difiant pose of her on this page, is testimony enough that she is anything but gentle and caring. If one really cared about her patient who was bleeding out at the time, she would have been more conserned about the ambulance getting there as quickly as possible, and not so conserned about a siren letting the world know that her boss had butchered another woman.

Why follow a worker around, much less for going to her house? Who cares what she does at Dr. Tiller’s? At least it’s a job. She could be on welfare with a bunch of brats that she should have seen Dr. Tiller for! I know, this is going to make people mad…oh well! Jade, if you read this, I’ve liked all the comments you’ve made on other articles. One last thing…I am going to school to become an M.D. I told Dr. Tiller that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. He said I could take over the clinic when I graduated. Hope to see some of you there!
A couple things stand out to me in Casey’s post. One. He thinks women on welfare don’t deserve to have children. Two. He hopes to “see some of you there.” So much for the “no one likes abortion – but it’s a necessary evil” theory.

it’s commonly known that those who flunk out of medical school after having failed to demonstrate the kind of standards that are required of an actual M.D., sometimes go on to be abortionists, because that’s the only field they can find to work in.
aspiring to kill babies for a living someday is moral bankruptcy. i guess that’s why you admire a man with the blood of thousands on his hands.
but just remember, casey, there is a day of reckoning coming for all those who participate in the shedding innocent blood. i hope you recognize the shallow and empty path that you are on before that day comes for you, and that you turn from your erroneous ways and meet the Author of Life. because it is He you are offending when you mock the sanctity of human life.

First of all, I am a girl. Second, so someday “God” will judge me. Okay! Sounds like a plan to me. I don’t think I’ll flunk out, considering that I’m doing okay so far. I will become an abortionist; hence, DR., and will continue to serve women in Wichita, with no regrets, issues, or personal problems. Also, not all welfare children could have been aborted. It’s not MY decision as to whether or not they have children, nor it is anybody else’s. What exactly is moral bankruptcy? I’m not sure I understand that. Anyway, I know that if I were pregnant, I would have an abortion, and gladly hand over my tuition money to Dr. Tiller!

moral bankruptcy is having no moral virtue whatsoever. and you fit the definition to a “T”. the fact that you say “i don’t understand that….” is proof positive that you are morally bankrupt. anyone with a soul and conscience would know instinctively what moral bankruptcy is. but first, you must have some idea what the word “moral” means. and it’s clear you do not, as you salivate over the prospect of soiling your hands with innocent blood.
but if you become an abortionist, a killer of children, you will in no way be a Dr. you will be a hired killer. you will have the blood of innocent human beings on your hands. but due to the emptiness in your soul, and the complete lack of any sense of right and wrong, that doesn’t faze you now. but it will, guaranteed. no one can do the kind of bloody work that tiller does and not feel tremendous shame and guilt for their actions. it may not surface for years, but it is there, nonetheless. in any case, it’s not that God will judge you. He has ALREADY judged the sin of child murder and it is an abomination to Him. those who participate in it, short of a genuine born again turn around, are only sealing their own doom.
and anyone who would champion the death of her own children or anyone else’s lacks not only moral discernment, but any of the genuine compassion that is necessary to be an effective physician. abortionists are not doctors – they are killers. that’s all they do – they don’t save lives, like real doctors do, they take lives. i don’t know what’s happened to you in your life, casey, but to aspire towards baby killing is a sick mindset. if i were you, i’d seek some counseling.
I can’t hardly believe the attitude and the callousness of individuals like Casey. Her statement are so shocking as to not to be believed. But unfortunately she appears to be serious in her quest be become a abortionist. The statement is right, they are not “Dr.s” they are “Natural Born Killers”.
The sad thing about most medical curriculums today is that there is very little taught about ethics, and even less about morality. So someone with Casey’s views can certainly fly right thru and come out as an abortionist. Tiller has proven that you do not need to be a specialist to kill babies. The so-called pro-choice doctors are the real hippocrites. They claim they ‘must give the woman every choice.’ That just isn’t responsible medicine. There are sometimes you do *not* give choices. Do you give a depressed patient every *choice*? Including the choice to jump off a building? Shoot their neighbor??
Only a truly deceived physician would encourage a woman, in a crisis state, to kill someone else and call it an acceptable action. But so is the hypocrisy of the pro-choice stand.
In the case of Casey she has failed to comprehend the wonder of Human life if not her own life. perhaps she only understands the pain and suffering part of this existance and has never know the power of the human spirit under such cirumstances. I’m not saying her reasons to become an abortionist aren’t merited however I tend to see the heart of the problem rather than the symptoms. 1. She belives that by becoming an abortionist she will help provide services for needy women. There are indeed needy women in this country and this wolrd, however, providing services such as abortions, contraceptives and the like are not exactly helping needy women. If she truly wants to help these women, she would find how they became needy in the first place and meet their needs according to how they got that way. If I sound like I’m not making much sense I appologize. 2. Her desire to become an abortonist sounds like she has seen many women, whether friends or complete strangers getting pregnant and seeming to have no other options other than to keeep their children and raise them as best as they can with no one to help them. there are good people in this world that are more than willing to help these women however she seems not to notice this. especially since the pro-life community seems to be practically invivsible when it comes to caring for women in such circumstances. Don’t get me wrong I know there are caring pro-lifers out there so this is not an attack on you, but when we oofer them help, it seems somtimes we forget to follow up on them. We’ll talk a woman out of an abortion, get them some help but we dont seem to get know the woman on a first name basis. There dose’nt seem to be an effort to establish relationships whith these women. No I am not talking about romantic ones, just the ones where she is lifted up and encouraged that at anytime she knows she can call on someone to help her through morning sickness or depression or just to talk to when she is lonely,scared or hurt I hope that we can be there for these women and I almost forgot the men and the families they hurt too. If we can show them The Father as a father to them they can know that they are sons and daughters in his kingdom. not one who will beat them over the head when they get out of line, but one who loves them for who they are. I’ll be praying for Casey that she will catch just a glimspe of Daddy God and she will see for herself that she is a daughter of the King and that will be the turning point in her life. When she sees herself as Daddy God sees her I guaruntee her opinion of human life wiil change.
