Every one of our lawmakers should receive a copy of this, or at least be referred to the OR website to hear it. How ironic that 8 Democratic senators so recently "flipped" and voted to keep the Child Custody Protection Act off of President Bush's desk. Perhaps this tape would make these senators realize that the person most anxious to transport a minor over state lines, or to any abortion clinic, to avoid parental consent will not be some kindly grandmother or clergyman, but rather a "boyfriend" anxious to escape a jail sentence. I know when I write my e-mails expressing my outrage to my senators, I plan to refer them to this website.
