Many head for Kansas for the Wichita Awakening this weekend
Nashville, TN — Over 100,000 young people came from all over the nation to Nashville, Tennessee on 07-07-07 to pray and seek God for revival. The event, sponsored by The Call, focused on prayer and repentance for the sins of the nation.
“We’ve seen 40 million abortions in America, and I ask for forgiveness,” said Kansas Senator and presidential hopeful Sam Brownback, who addressed the packed stadium, home to the Tennessee Titans football team.
Some of those who attended the prayer event are headed west to San Francisco, California, making stops along the way that include Wichita, Kansas, home of the notorious late-term abortionist George R. Tiller. Sensing that God’s Holy Spirit is moving, pro-life leaders from around the nation will join The Cause USA in Wichita on July 14-16 for the Wichita Awakening to pray for an end to abortion and seek revival.
Those leaders include Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women For America, Rev. Rob Schenk, Director of the National Clergy Council, Eric Wittington, National Director of Rock for Life, and Rev. Pat Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition in Washington, DC and member of the original Operation Rescue leadership team during the historic 1991 Summer of Mercy.
“As long as innocent blood continues to be shed in our nation, we cannot expect God’s blessing,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “We need to seek God in serious prayer and repentance if we expect our nation to turn around. What better place to pray for an end to abortion than in Wichita, the nation’s late-term abortion capital.”

We’ll set up camp in beautiful fields and worship late into the night, with intercession, drum circles, car painting, jam sessions, and equipping and releasing for the young artists and musicians of this new Renaissance move of God
Drum circles? car painting? Renaissance move of God?
What happen to good ole fashinoned repentance that moves one to faith and action? What happened to dying to self and taking up your cross?
Incorporating new age, shaministic practices such as “drum circles” will envoke God’s anger, and bring about a curse.
I would urge everyone involved in this event to not mix the holy with the unholy.
Be ye separate and do not touch was is unclean.
I remember the Lord saying “he that is not against us is for us.” Mark 9:40. It is not always easy to know exactly what God thinks on a matter, but I am convinced He is pleased when we 1) want to know…and 2) have mercy on others who are trying to know. Where in the Bible do you find that drum circles are wrong or right?? Steer clear of the the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and eat from the tree of life. These people are seeking the Lord….He will show them the way to go…trust.
