As for adoption, there are presently several million couples willing, wanting, and able to care for the children you call “unwanted” in order to try to justify your acquiescence to Planned Parenthood’s bloody philosophy the agenda it entails. You say that giving a child whose natural parents can or will not care for him/her a home and a future by placing that child with adoptive parents is “the most horrible thing to do to a child”. What a crock. Have you asked any adopted individuals if they would like to be dismembered, pickled to death, beheaded, or any of the other usual methods of torturing unborn children to death? If you do (it is clear that you haven’t), you won’t find them eager to avail themselves of your offered “services”. Adoption is an adjustment for both mother and child, to be sure; there is a natural separation grief that must be worked through; but it is not exacerbated by the bloodguilt of abortion. It is also considerably mitigated by the replacement of that bloodguilt with the knowledge of the birth mother, that, in giving her child the best chance at nurture and protection she could, she did not violate or belie her own maternal instincts. It can be further lessened by the fact that there are such things as open adoption. This mentality that cries out to kill the child rather than place him/her for adoption is so reminiscent of the cruel insanity of “I’d rather see you dead little girl than to be with another man”, of an weak-egoed, narcissistic, abusively jealous man who would rather kill his “property” than let her go to someone who could really love her. Any normal woman would prefer to be released from his thralldom than killed, as any unborn child prefers to be born and place for adoption than tortured to death. If you find yourself pregnant before you feel you are in a position to care for a second child, keep this in mind; the life you save may well be your own.

Knowledgeable women also see through your “terminate the pregnancy” vs. “abuse” crap. Why is it that you must needs resort to misusing the phrase “terminate a pregnancy” as a euphemism for “butchering a baby to death”, which is what an abortion actually is. There is a natural way to terminate a pregnancy without abusing, endangering, or mistreating the baby (OR THE MOTHER), and that is to give birth. But of course, once you replace euphemism with reality, the natural method of pregnancy termination (as reality, not euphemism) is much more desirable…and Planned Parenthood’s bank account just will not have THAT! They prefer murdered children and exploited women to honest medical work.

As per the Christian faith, I am personally a Protestant and have a number of theological differences with Roman Catholicism; but your pitting the “realistic” view of the world vs. a “moral” one reminds me of a truly great (and greatly true!) line from a Broadway musical which went, “Is not the greatest madness of all to see life as it is and not as it ought to be?” Certainly, seeing life only as it is will breed despair; seeing life as it ought to be can light a flame of hope and betterment amid what is…for all concerned who want hope and real betterment. But those ends are always served when death camps are defeated, not when they thrive. You do not create a civilized, humane, just, ultimately free society by permitting, much less encouraging, the strong to prey upon the relatively weak with impunity, but by encouraging the strong to use their relative advantages to protect, help, and empower those less fortunate (mentally, physically, financially, etc.) than themselves.

The only world we will ever have will be much better off if people, especially women, are not sucked into artificial birth control or its fallback lynchpin, induced abortion. It is this false sense of immunity (as though pregnancy were a disease, rather than the normal fruit of a healthy reproductive system functioning as designed) that feeds the death camps a steady stream of innocent blood. defectives.”

Your request is so typical of the flawed “quality of life” philosophy, which puts the concerns of the less vulnerable ahead of those of the most. This same ideology fanned the flames of the crematoriums of the Third Reich (have you ever seen the piles of shoes, clothing, glasses, and other booty taken from the victims of that holocaust? They even had people working full time pulling gold out of their teeth…to improve the quality of life of Germans. Many of those spoils were never even distributed to anyone. ) This “quality” vs “sanctity” of life is a cruelly false dichotomy; in reality, the societies do best who see life, in this regard, as a tree of which sanctity is the root and quality is the fruit. If you separate the tree from the roots, of course it doesn’t produce much fruit for long.

Anyone really concerned for the children already born will be fighting abortion as much as they can. Child abuse has increased over 1,000% since Roe v. Wade, despite the pro-abort lies that abortion on demand would eliminate unwanted children, and much of this can be attributed to Roe’s violation and erosion of the taboo essential to a civilized society against hurting those smaller and more defenseless. Actually, many unplanned pregnancies become very welcome children, if the mother does not get poisoned by PP’s antichild hate propaganda.

Oh, and speaking of wanted children, PP, in a 1963 pamphlet had this to say:
“An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile, so that when you want a child you cannot have it…”
This is still true, and they well know it, but no one will hear it from them now since abortion has become legal (but not safe), and so very profitable for them. The only chance a woman is likely to have of hearing this warning is from those of us whom you would silence by conveniently, and hypocritically, deploying us elsewhere. Kind of makes a cruel joke of connecting birth control, abortion, and “reproductive freedom.”, but that was always a huge crock from the first. It was never about a woman’s right to choose, but a doctor’s “right” to murder with impunity…Can you say Mengele?

It sounds to me like PP knew that they would encounter controversy and hoped to end-run the city council of Aurora and the citizens of the surrounding neighborhood.

By the way, I was at the protest Saturday August 25. Hundreds of anti-abortion protestors (somebody said over 1000, I have no way of verifying that, I know they were always out of signs and they said they had brought 250), and only a handful of pro-abortion protestors that didn’t even stay the entire time (again, anecdotal count of 17). Sounds to me like the area does not want an abortion clinic, otherwise there would have been more equal numbers of protestors.

And to the point that Reality makes: Most abortion clinics do NOT give any sort of pregnancy or contraception counseling. They’re there for one thing: killing babies to terminate pregnancies. “Choice” is an illusion at most abortion clinics; your choice is to have an abortion or not. And there are documented cases (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXMkLFpeGQQ) where PP clinics have refused information from would-be clients if they suspect a statutory rape has occurred. The abortion clinics don’t care about preventing pregnancy — that would cut down on their profits.

Funny how if you protest a clinic and prevent a women from entering that could lead to an unwanted pregnancy and abortion…if she goes in she learns and gets the health education and contraception that she needs to get pregnant when she and her partner want to and have a wanted child.

Spend you time on the world we already have – no one wants to end a pregnancy – so help women and families prevent unwanted pregnancies! Use your energy to help the unwanted children among us. – be a mentor, volunteer, become a foster parent – act for today.

I believe society will change their attitude towards children, when the church does. Scripture states, that judgment must first begin at the house of God.

How many of us, who have claimed to know the Lord, will use the same excuses for not bearing children as the world does, i.e. work, school, money etc. Christians want to control their destinies and their childbearing. In essence, we tell the Lord we want all your blessings for following You; except the blessings of children.

As I know first hand, it’s hypocritical to tell a girl not to abort her child, and trust God, when you haven’t.
