Washington, DC — Operation Rescue is calling Ms. Magazine’s “We Had Abortions” campaign a pathetic attempt to grab media for their dying cause.
“So what if they say they have 5,000* women who have signed their petition. That is less that two days worth of abortions that take place at our nation’s abortion chop shops,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “That is hardly a measurable percentage.”
“Five thousand names is nothing compared to the 45 million abortions since 1973. Based on what we know from working closely with ministries that provide post-abortion counseling, the vast majority of those women now regret their abortions.”
“You can always find a small fraction of a minority of people who will remain proud of their bad conduct,” said Newman. “Charles Manson is still proud of his exploits. You won’t get a word of sorry out of his mouth, either.”
“All indications are that abortion movement is a dying one. Abortion mills are closing at an unprecedented rate, states are lining up to ban abortion, and Americans — especially the younger generations — are becoming more and more pro-life,” said Newman. “Even Ms. Magazine’s pathetic little publicity stunt cannot provide enough CPR to revive it.”
*Note: Operation Rescue gathered over 7,700 signatures of registered voters in Sedgwick County, KS alone in just two months calling for a grand jury investigation of late-term abortionist George R. Tiller for the death of Christin Gilbert. The fact that Ms. Magazine could only get 5,000 signatures out of a group of over 40 million women shows how out of touch they are with the reality of the pain suffered by millions of women that now regret their abortions.

Pathetic indeed….
No doubt there is a fair share of celebrities and other noteable’s names on that petition. How often do we hear these pro-aborts and pro-choicers proclaiming that they had abortions….like they expect to be applauded for it…
This is not only pathetic but its old hat as well. Please folks, think up something new. If I had a dollar for every petition drive I’ve seen over the years, as well as marathon testimonials as to why different women had abortions, I could retire tomorrow. Certainly they must realize that if they had the overwhelming support of the American people, none of these tactics would even be necessary.
I’ve even heard these pro-abortion dinosaurs (Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem) are planning a radio talk show aimed at women. Since, according to these enlightened ladies, we women supposedly don’t like confrontation or listening to the discussion of important issues, they plan to offer us such lighthearted discussion as well as decorating, feng shui, and spring cleaning tips. Please ladies, do us all a favor. Take your time worn tactics and condescension and retire gracefully.
Mary…I couldn’t have said it better!!!!
Thank you Mary, and Mike. The perfect response to a women’s magazine that has become so marginalized. What an absolutely pathetic publicity stunt!
Yes, pathetic is the word, and a slap in the face/kick in the butt/stab in the gut to all the suffering inflicted on women who submitted to this travesty of their right to bear life.
How about some T-shirts that read, “I had an abortion…now I have breast cancer” ?
Or, “I had an abortion…and a forced, emergency hysterectomy.”
Or, “I had an abortion, and almost died from the ensuing peritonitis (embolism, infection, hemorrhage, later ectopic pregnancy, etc., ad infinitum)
Or, “My baby was tortured to death and all I got was this stupid t-shirt”.
Certainly all living women would be better served had all those who died from botched abortions been dressed in their “I had an abortion” (or, “I regret my abortion”) T-shirts, placed in their casket, and photographed for public viewing before closing the casket and burying the abortionist’s latest casualty.
(Roachy and friends, I hope you’re reading this and finding it inspiring….!)

Wonder if Ms (Miserable Sinner) will publish those studies?!
All best!
Concerning the above mentioned findings on breast cancer. I recently read in our newspaper that black women have a higher incidence of breast cancer, recurrence, resistance to treatment, and death from breast cancer than do white women. Could this be related to the much higher and disproportionate number of abortions that black women have long been known to have, as compared to white women?
You would think that self-proclaimed “women’s leaders” and feminist journalists, would, at the very least, make these studies known to women and encourage research, which is very easy on the internet.
I understand that one of the petition signers, Gloria Steinem, had breast cancer. Another feminist journalist, who’s name escapes me, proudly trumpeted her abortion, and also had a double mastectomy.
Mary once again right 100% on it!!!
I think that if I were a celebrity, I would be totally embarassed to tell anyone that I had had an abortion. Its almost like ordinary every day women will do the same and say to themselves “Well so and so did it,so it must be okay” Well celebs still are people too and they may have more cash but cash doesnt buy morals. Let hear it for pro-life celebs like Patricia Heaton, Kathy Ireland, and Kim Alexis.
I just had to share this, I went to another site and was shocked that some of my favorite actresses were pro-choice marchers. It changed the way I felt about them. Susan Sarandon is a catholic and she is one of the lead marchers. Ashley Judd said that being FOR partial birth abortion was fun and sex without consequences cool. Please say it aint so.
Mary, I think that femenist journalist’s name that you mentioned, was Linda Ellerby[sp?]
Yes Brittney you’re correct. I thought of it later on but I didn’t want to mention a name unless I was certain. Thank you.
Also,Linda Ellerby-[sp?] in addition to talking about her abortion, also spoke about her bout with ..guess what ?BREAST CANCER
oops-looks like that was already said
Actress Kathy Najimy signed their lame petition, and she is totally against people wearing fur!!!! Where are her prioreties?????Kill your baby ,but if you wear fur she will say “You are hurting my feelings”I swear,I got that quote right off of her web site.
I wonder if MS.MISERY petition signers have ever really sat down and investigated abortion clinics.I sincerely doubt it! I have learned more about abortion on my computer in the last month on my own.All of these women are doing the right thing? Are we supposed to be impressed or congratulate them?If anything,I have no respect for them.It would be one thing if they were sorry.I guess this is their way of dealing with their guilt.I just can’t buy the fact that they say they are proud of this.A perfect, little, intact baby ripped to shreds!
The headline should have read-I killed my kid over some stupid acting, singing, dancing etc.carreer.Open the book to see who these selfish women are everyone! I really want to know why they wanted ALL to know. It’s none of my MY business,AND it isn’t anything to take pride in. Heaven help me.
YOU ARE 100% CORRECT, 4LIFE!!!
