Wichita, KS — In a press conference held Friday afternoon, Attorney General Phill Kline told reporters that he would seek to have 30 charges reinstated against abortionist George R. Tiller after Judge Paul W. Clark granted a motion made by Sedgwick County District Attorney Nola Foulston to have them thrown out.
“We are pursuing a legal remedy to what we consider a flawed decision by a district court judge,” said Kline.
Foulston, an abortion supporter and personal friend of Tiller’s, asked for the case to be dropped because she had not been consulted prior to the filing of the charges, as Kansas law requires. However, Phill Kline told reporters that he met with Foulston in her Wichita office just prior to his filing the case against Tiller in the presence of three other people. He said Foulston told him she had no problem with him filing the charges. The allegations in the criminal complaint all deal with criminal late-term abortions.
Kline stated that he was not notified of the motion until after the case had been dismissed. He said he was flying an attorney to Wichita late Friday to find Judge Clark, who was not returning his calls, in order to file an emergency motion for reinstatement.
“Foulston obviously isn’t telling the truth here,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “If Foulston in fact lied to a judge, that could be considered obstruction of justice, and would be further evidence of the massive corruption that has covered up for Tiller’s wrong-doing for years.”
“We have every confidence that Kline will prevail once his side of the matter can be heard,” Newman said.
“These charges are very serious, and it would be a travesty of justice not to have them heard in a court of law,” said Newman. “We are talking about illegally taking the innocent lives of viable babies who should have had the protection of law.”
“If the charges have no merit, then let’s have a hearing and determine that. But since they likely do have merit, we can expect Tiller and his lawyers to pull every underhanded trick in the book to keep Tiller from having to answer for these crimes. We are likely to see much more of these shenanigans if Kline is able to get the charges reinstated, as we believe he will.”

I applaud you Mr.Kline on refusing to back down.I pray that God will help you to win the fight. He is working through you I do believe. Those poor little ones need you.May God grant you many blessings.
I can’t believe a woman would submit to having an abortion at 31 weeks! What is wrong with these women? How can you carry a child that long and feel it growing and moving within you and feel no compassion for its life?
And Tiller is SICK, performing an abortion on a TEN YEAR OLD? Didn’t anybody question how a ten year old got pregnant in the first place? What kind of trauma has been done to this little girl’s body, and what kind of scars will she carry forever on her heart? sick! sick! sick! the people of Kansas need to WAKE UP!
Sarah, I agree with you 100%! But many people in Kansas are awake! I am one of them. You can’t just depend on Kansans to solve this problem-we need the rest of the nation to help us (along with some divine intervention). Keep the prayers coming…
I can’t believe that a woman would agree to an abortion at all.You must be totally heartless.Once you have agreed to lay down on that operating table and have the procedure, you are now a murdrerer.A murdering mother. How do you go on with life and have no shame? These women MUST be held accountable.God sees the truth. These women do not get off scott free.Think about the emotional suffering that they endure for decades in some instances. At 31 weeks it is barbaric!Shame on these selfish women.
P.S. I just can’t believe that a perfectly fully formed healthy baby can legally be aborted 2 hours before birth.I really do not get this! Why not consider adoption at that point?
when I was heavily pregnant this fall I tried to imagine what it would be like, deciding to have an abortion at that point…I would feel my son kick and squirm and I would try to imagine what kind of woman could ignore her swollen belly and kicking child and submit to an abortion…I could never wrap my mind around it.
And then I tried to imagine what kind of man could hate women and children that much that he could abort a “fetus” that totally resembles a newborn and is completely viable! I can’t even begin to imagine how dark Tiller’s heart must be. Can you imagine being Tiller’s wife? Imagine laying in bed each night next to a man who just that day crushed the heads of ready to be born babies! What is wrong with this couple?!!!!
I feel the same way as you Sarah.Any decent woman wouldn’t have any fellowship with a man like this.I’m sure that the money is a big factor in their staying together.I really hope that Tiller can convert as well.It is possible. I have read many stories about abortionists converting. Many exclaimed that life had become totally unbearable for them. Many contemplated suicide, confessed to drug/alcohol addictions, and had horrific nightmares about dead babies.Prior to Dr.Nathanson’s conversion he said that he had experienced recurrent dreams of holding a baby over a bucket of water while in front of a jury.He explained that he would wait for a “thumbs up”or “thumbs down” from the jury as to weather or not to drop the baby.Proof to me that God worked on this man through dreams. He couldn’t live with himself.
On the other hand,it may be too late for Tiller. He may have been turned over to a reprobate mind.
