Olathe, Kansas – Planned Parenthood is still refusing to honor a subpoena issued by a citizen-called grand jury in Johnson County, Kansas, for 16 abortion records that have had patient identifying information removed, despite reports to the contrary.
An agreement between Planned Parenthood and the special counsel for the grand jury was reached last Tuesday to provide some or part of the records. However, that agreement was rejected by the grand jury as being inadequate, and Judge Patrick Moriarty officially revoked the agreement on Friday.
District Attorney Phill Kline issued a statement indicating he was pleased that the agreement had been nullified, and noting that he looked forward to reviewing the documents Planned Parenthood offered to provide to see if they comply with the subpoena.
Planned Parenthood made numerous statements in the media, which circulated over the weekend, saying the records dispute was resolved, when in fact, it is not.
“This is another example of Planned Parenthood saying one thing and doing another,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The records in question have already been reviewed by a judge, who certified it is impossible to identify patients from the redacted records. If Planned Parenthood really wanted to comply with the subpoena, they would have done so long ago. This is just another devious effort to confuse the public, to delay the investigation, and to hide evidence from the grand jury. Only people with a lot to hide act this way.”
Operation Rescue is a member of the L.I.F.E. Coalition that led the petition effort to convene the grand jury. Other coalition members are Concerned Women For America and Women Influencing the Nation.

WHY IS THIS ORGANIZATINAL EXEMPT FROM FOLLOWING THE LEGAL PROCESS BUT THE REST OF US WOULD BE IN JAIL IF WE REFUSED TO COOPERATE WITH THE SYSTEM???? THEY ARE GUILTY, GUILTY GUILTY!!!!
I am so glad to hear the offer was rejected. When I first heard about this “deal” I thought- why should the group being investigated get to decide which documents it releases and which it doesn’t? In fact why can’t thay get a search warrant from the judge and go in and take the records. Isn’t that how it usually works when a judge believes there may have been a crime commited?
To read all of the “info” regarding Planned Parenthood, George Tiller, and the many political entities; a person is faced with how deep and evil the “taproot” of abortion is “rooted” in our nation. Praise the Lord that HE is the “GARDENER” with great “pruning shears” and faithful stewards such as OR and L.I.F.E. Coalition!!
Persevere!
Pray without ceasing to end this horror called abortion. It takes the life of the baby and leaves the mother in shambles. Thank you, Operation Rescue, for all you are doing for God’s children. Abortion WILL end!

It would be lovely to see PP held accountable for once. Though I greatly fear that all that will come out of this is that the members of the Grand Jury will come away with a serious reality check. I imainge many of them started out with neutral or even positive opinions of Planned Parenthood, and are coming away with the knowledge that they’re slimy hucksters at best.
I think most people support Planned Parenthood because they feel we need population control and they are tired of young girls having babies and expecting government assistance while many are not adequately cared for and are exposed to circumstances which put them in harms way, such as boyfriends who abuse or kill them. With the stories about mother’s allowing their children to be molested and physically abused, the general population feels these children should never have been brought into the world. To most people, Planned Parenhood is the answer for promiscuous girls who don”t care about their bodies or their babies. In view of all of the men who do not provide child support, our society wants something done to fix this whole situation and that is why Planned Parenthood continues to be a pillar of strength. They are litterally etched in stone as the organization which ends the problems of poverty, school dropouts, excess government spending.
For these reasons, Planned Parenthood is probably is here to stay as most people think they are necessary.
I think the average citizen is behind planned parenthood because thery are sick of girks having babies out of wedlock for someone else to take care of and it will be very hard to convince them otherwise. Today, because of all of the drug use, more grandparents are having to care for their grandchildren than ever. This is just “food for thought,” as I am curious as to how to fight such a big organization. Most people don’t know anything bad about P.P. Any ideas?
