I don’t see why people refer to Nicaragua as a case of the international community holding out rights to abortion. Check some countries, Brazil, Ireland and other countries, illegal, other countries, severe restrictions, such as Poland. Middle East no. Hmong community in Southeast Asia, no to abortions. We the USA are horrid with abortion rights. Time to turn down such vain college professor type rhetoric about it being an international right. Our country does a real evil and even countries like Holland require a five day wait.

Answer: Only about 90% of Americans who believe that abortion should be allowed in order to save the life of the mother.

Besides, slave traders had an evil motive: greed.

My motive is based on compassion: to save the life of the mother. If the baby or fetus dies in the process, it is horribly tragic, but I don’t think it is fair to call it murder in that circumstance.

The wording is so ironic. “deny…their basic rights to life and health”. Isn’t that the exact right a baby is denied by abortion? Who decided that one life is more important than the other? Reminds me of the attitude of slave traders.

Abortion begins with an attitude. That attitude and world view involves putting yourself before anyone else. It is a reckless abandonment of everything that is sacred and good. It is a direct turning away from God and worshipping the god of self. The world will support you in this view. It is the view of mainstream society. We worship our own image and not the One who made us. Once you know the One who made you, you no longer worship yourself and you cease the murder of others. Abortion stops in the heart of every new believer when Jesus takes His rightful place on the throne of your life. Thankfully, due to His common grace, many people who don’t yet believe find abortion to be the holocaust it is. A society that kills its own cannot survive.

My sister-in-law aborted her baby 16 years ago and STILL hasn’t gotten over it. I am convinced that her many years of self-hatred and depression are due to her abortion. Unfortunately, she’s not willing to let anyone help her, and so, we are all pretty much waiting for the inevitable mental, emotional, psychological and physical implosion that has been building for the past 16 years to play itself out. Maybe then, after she is completely exhausted, we can get her some help.

You did not “make a mistake” You were a willing accomplice to murder. We have to stop allowing the women who sacrifice their children get off with a slap on the wrist. A mistake is something you do accidently or do not intending the outcome. Abortion is a willful, premeditated act. I’m happy that you have seen the error and have repented. But let’s call a spade a spade. This goes for other women who try to excuse themselves from culpability in this henious act.

We have been given the opportunity by God to choose how we live our life. There will be consequences for our decisions, either good or bad. Life starts when a man and woman have sexual relations. God made us this way. Like most animals, we reproduce this way. Society has scewed this idea, and now sex is no big deal. God’s word clearly talks about his feelings on premarital sex. If you decide to do this, you are risking the chance you may become pregnant. If this happens, you need to be prepared to take care of the child you decided to make. Whatever happend to adoption? Even if you aren’t Chirstian, you would have to agree murder is wrong. If it wasn’t then why can’t we murder our mentally and phycially disabled or the elderly? They can be a burdon to us just like an unplanned baby, but we don’t kill them, because it’s wrong!

It’s a simple decision that can start when one is just a child. You choose to follow and respect God’s word. Whatever happens in your life you deal with it according to God’s way. I pray for those that get a bad hand in life, and we need more people to help those that need it. Whatever you may go through, God can help you through it if only you are willing to listen to him.

to reply to chris on june 28. i am a christian. i bible beating holy roller–hallelujah!!!! i wasn’t a little over six years ago. i had an abortion about 7 years ago. it would still haunt me as bad had i not got my life right with jesus christ, including admitting i was the murderer of my unborn child. it is indeed something spiritual, something un-understood by someone who thinks all labels are evil. i recognized my sin, and my state of being. the words “the truth shall set you free” come to my mind. when we can admit the wrong,we can change…thank god, because it has to start somewhere. there is forgiveness in jesus christ and i have a testimony to share with others who have fallen. thank God for his forgiveness and grace. it is now why i live…to share this message.
