These doctors regularly do to downs babies what happend to Anna – stop their hearts. As parents, how could you send your daughter to doctors who regularly take the lives of special needs babies – you couldn’t possibly think they had any sincere respect for Anna’s life. In their mind and in their words, people like Anna are parasites. But Anna brought joy to her family.

This tragic situation illustrates – with vivid, unrelenting clarity – how society failed “Anna” – and has failed countless others like her.

With all the repugnance and horror that we should regard the late-term abortion that resulted in this young woman’s death – we should be equally angry for the sexual assault with which her tragedy began.

I’ve seen – and experienced – much cruelty throughout my forty-something years on this earth. But few crimes arouse my ire more than do rapes against the impaired, especially the mentally impaired.

I hope with all the fervor in my soul that the perpetrators of this despicable assault will be caught, convicted and castrated (whether metaphorically or literally, I care little at this point).

I know all too well the ease with which sexual predators prey upon the vulnerable. After suffering a nervous breakdown in March 1978, every courtly cultist, marauding Moonie, whorish Hairy Krishna, and would-be opportunist tried to take advantage of me and my misfortune. Fortunately, I was able to rebuff these insipid overtures with feral ferocity – even if my speech probably resembled Sylvia Plath’s after being crushed by The Bell Jar.

That was too much – far too much – to expect of women like “Anna” and others like her. Her sweet nature, trusting personality and afflictions deserved society’s most unswerving protection.

The view ‘from aBroad’ is laser-sharp; and calls to mind a story Dr. Jack Willke tells of a doctor in Austria who delivered two babies on the same day, decades ago. The first baby was a little girl and her parents were very saddened to learn that she was born with Downs Syndrome, then referred to as “Mongoloidism”. The parents of the other baby were delighted to learn that their baby was a strapping, healthy little boy with a strong cry and no defects. The obstetrician who delivered these two children followed their life journeys for some decades. The little girl grew up to nurse her aging mother through a long illness, though her name is forgotten by posterity. The little boy died in a bunker in East Berlin, his name – Adolf Hitler -remembered in infamy.

Having listened to pro-abortion rants about “the survival of the fittest”, I can’t help thinking of this story and wondering, “fit for what?” There is no doubt in my mind that if any of these abortifiers were, themselves, ailing or injured, they would rightly want their health care in the hands of the little girl, with her sweet, caring heart, not the ‘little boy’ with his gas chambers and ghastly “experimentation labs”…yet it is Hitler that they praise, and the “weaker” that they despise, abuse, and treat like dirt.

Truly amazing. I do look forward to seeing this young woman’s untimely, cruel death vindicated…the sooner the better for all who might “be next”.
