Troy Newman Heads To South Dakota In Support Of Abortion Ban

Meanwhile, Operation Rescue’s Truth Truck Fleet will continue to expose Obama’s abortion extremism across the nation

Sioux Falls, SD – While every election is of vital importance for Christians to participate, this year’s election seems particularly so. As with each election, the lives of innocent babies can be saved or lost at the ballot box.

This year, along with the presidential race, where that is the case more then ever, there are a number of states with important races that could dramatically impact the practice of abortion. Among those states is South Dakota, where the campaign to pass Measure 11, a ban on most abortions, is currently a dead heat in the polls.

We believe that the South Dakota vote could be a turning point in our battle against abortion, and is perhaps the most critical race of the year, apart from who will be our next president.

Over the next few days, our fleet of ten Truth Trucks will continue to expose Obama’s abortion extremism across the nation and in several battle ground states. Operation Rescue’s Senior Policy Advisor, Cheryl Sullenger, will remain at our national headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, to continue to monitor George Tiller’s late-term abortion clinic and help with the important District Attorney’s race there.

But Operation Rescue’s President, Troy Newman, has decided to invest the last days before this critical election in South Dakota, in support of Measure 11.

Even though it is even in the polls, Measure 11 has had to contend with a great amount of dirty dealings from the abortion cartel.

  • Television ads have been aired by opponents of Measure 11 that are so fraught with error that the Vote Yes For Life group was forced to file legal action with the FCC.
  • Groups like Planned Parenthood and the ACLU have bussed in pro-abortion carpetbaggers from out of state with the intention of influencing the South Dakota election.
  • The abortion cartel’s group that is opposing Measure 11 was caught red-handed on tape bragging about how they were committing voter fraud and encouraging others to do so.
  • Even worse has been the betrayal from some of the misguided so-called “right to life” groups who have actively worked to oppose Measure 11.

Newman’s intent on going to South Dakota is to provide support for the Vote Yes for Life campaign, expose any further deception on the part of the abortion cartel, and to do all he can to make sure that the election is honestly decided. He will be reporting daily from the campaign via brief video reports.

If you live in South Dakota, please join Troy Newman and the Vote Yes For Life folks campaigning in support of Measure 11. If you live elsewhere, please pray for the success of this measure. If you can, please also consider making a last-minute online donation to Operation Rescue by clicking here to help with the cost of our eleventh-hour election outreaches.

South Dakota has the opportunity to become the first abortion-free state. So much is at stake. Please pray for the success of Measure 11, the defeat of Barack Obama, and for pro-life measures and candidates across the nation to win the day, and with it the lives of the innocent.

A Race To Watch: Kansas DA’s Race Has National Implications

Wichita, KS – The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s race would normally not make headlines outside of Wichita, but this election has national implications because of the connections to the infamous late-term abortionist George R. Tiller. It is one of the races to watch on November 4th.

This contest pits incumbent Democrat and pro-abort Nola Foulston against Republican Mark Schoenhofer, a pro-life Catholic. Foulston has waged a vicious campaign of personal attacks that lack documentation against Schoenhofer, which have been repeated without mercy by the local paper, the Wichita Eagle, one of Tiller’s most ardent supporters.

Tiller’s late-term abortion business is viewed nationally as the standard bearer of unfettered abortion on demand. He aborts women from every state in America and beyond. Efforts to persuade Foulston to enforce Kansas abortion laws and other statutes that Tiller is believed to have violated have been repeatedly rebuffed by her. This has placed women from around the nation at grave risk of suffering botched and/or illegal abortions.

Kansans for Truth in Politics, (K-TIP) a Political Action Committee chaired by Cheryl Sullenger, has worked overtime to expose Foulston and her ring of corruption that has shielded Tiller from being brought to justice.

Will Kansas abortion laws continue to be ignored by Foulston, or will a new District Attorney break the cycle of corruption and enforce the laws?

For more on this race, and Foulston’s ties to Tiller, please visit the K-TIP’s special web page focusing on the District Attorney’s race.

Ambulance Transports Yet Another Tiller Abortion Patient To Hospital

Women continue to suffer injuries while authorities fail in their duties to protect the public

Wichita, KS – An ambulance arrived at George R. Tiller’s late-term abortion clinic, Women’s Health Care Services this morning at approximately 7:50 AM and transported a woman to Wesley Medical Center.

Eyewitness Dale Weldy, a volunteer for the Kansas Coalition for Life, reported that a woman with an IV was loaded into Sedgwick County ambulance number 30 and transported away from the abortion clinic at approximately 8:05 AM. According to Weldy, the ambulance never used its lights or siren.

Cheryl Sullenger of Operation Rescue was notified and arrived at Wesley Medical Center in time to photograph the same ambulance that Weldy saw leave Tiller’s abortion clinic. In addition, she was able take photos of Tiller’s personal Jeep parked in the emergency room parking lot.

Tiller was joined at the emergency room by his employee, Diane Warren, who noticed Sullenger and called out to her, “You’re dying to know, aren’t you!”

In addition to Tiller, abortionist Susan Robinson, a part-time Tiller employee from Ukiah, California, was on the schedule and may have been involved in the botched abortion. The condition of the abortion patient is unknown.

This was the third emergency transport documented by Operation Rescue in the last five weeks. Patient S. told her horrific story of her near-death botched abortion experience to Operation Rescue from her hospital bed on September 27. Another ambulance was seen at Tiller’s infamous late-term abortion mill on October 2, 2008.

“Again and again, we have documented case after case of botched abortions that have landed women in the hospital — or worse, as in the case of Christin Gilbert, who died from a botched third-trimester abortion at Tiller’s mill in 2005,” said Sullenger. “We have made our documentation available to the Legislature, the District Attorney, the Attorney General, the Governor, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, and the Wichita Police Department. Yet, he continues to butcher women. The lack of enforcement and oversight of Tiller’s ‘little shop of horrors’ is appalling and continues to endanger the lives of women.”

“I have personally begged the KSBHA for an emergency suspension of Tiller’s license and to close his abortion business before someone else was hurt. Our pleas have fallen on deaf ears and now another women has had to pay the price. How many more women have to get hurt before the authorities will step in and stop this?”
