Wichita, KS — Some of the hottest Christian musicians will lead praise and worship during the Wichita Awakening event sponsored by The Cause. They include noted musician and songwriter Ray Hughes, who is president and founder of Selah Ministries, Joel Khouri, Leonard Jones, Mark Mathis, John Mark McMillan, and Stephen Roach.
“We expect the praise services Sunday and Monday evenings to be anointed worship experiences that are geared especially to the emerging generation,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “They are setting up a large sound stage at a beautiful park down by the river. I think it will be an awesome spiritual experience that young and old will not want to miss.”
The praise and worship services will be Sunday and Monday evenings from 7 PM to midnight at the Mid-America Indian Center. [MAP]
The Wichita Awakening kicks off on Saturday, July 14, at 8:30 PM with a candlelight prayer vigil at George Tiller’s infamous late-term abortion mill led by Rev. Rob Schenck, President of the National Clergy Council in Washington, DC.
Other national pro-life leaders who will be leading prayer at Tiller’s clinic through Monday will include Norma McCorvey, the former “Roe” of Roe v. Wade, Wendy Wright President of Concerned Women for America, Erick Wittington of Rock for Life, Rev. Pat Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, Brandi Swindell of Generation Life, among others.
The Cause will be traveling across the nation praying for repentance and revival. They chose Wichita to focus on praying for an end to abortion because of the late-term abortion business of George R. Tiller, who faces 19 criminal counts of committing illegal late-term abortions.
